    If I remember BOI do not give instant decisions. I think last time I waited 3-4days for a search to take place.

    i have just got half way through BOI credit card for there gold master card,i stopped half way,they ask so many questions,innocent guy you try them then i will give it a go later.oh and nid i got a television on finance,0% last year and payed it off in full to HFC 08/03/2010 couple of weeks ago,but just checked experian and HFc updated on the 14th why is my outstanding balance still on there as i have payed them

    Oh I like the way you want me to test the water for you! Ha Ha! Remember some lenders such as RBS Group search you throughout the application so it is always best to continue until the end as you may have already been credit searched!

    It may take 4 - 6 weeks for them to mark you account as settled.

    John Lewis will give you a instant decisions but if you are turn down you have to wait 12 month befor you can reapply for hsbc card

    TBH I am sceptical that if I applied for the JL card and went into HSBC in 6 months time for an account review (Where they do one credit check and score you for all products) they would fail to offer the CC as a result of my JL app.

    correct mate BoI do not give instant decisions and they do/can decline after sending paperwork - as they check it again upon return (been there done it lol)..... :D

    It will update on their monthly (CIAS/INSIGHT) data spread which can be 6 weeks behind, it should be settled next months (April) update. :D

    TBH I am sceptical that if I applied for the JL card and went into HSBC in 6 months time for an account review (Where they do one credit check and score you for all products) they would fail to offer the CC as a result of my JL app.

    Be sceptical all you like mate - fact of the matter is they will decline you - guaranteed 1 million percent - do it, go on! lol

    Their underwriting rules cannot be appealed so if it says 12 months no matter how much you beg, the system will always say no!
