    what does cifas means then.

Fraud markers - basically you get declined if you have one of those! Mine was cat.4 (app fraud) due to incorrect linked people with my name

Long story but a few grand compo later and 3 years almost of fighting, we got there and i'm now in the clear! As Innocent will say, I think I had (at its worse) 20+ defaults, several cifas and 500+ searches - but not mine like....

Thing is, whoever done it must have known they'd just get declined anyway, we came to the "out of court settlement" that someone KNEW me and started applying using my details, therefore saved the CRA's public embarassment.....

Hey, I got a nice payout as a result of their inability to protect and adhere to personal data and the regulations.... they are no better even to this day! :D

No - not lies - can be many things, but pretty much it means something appears different.

Instead of me explaining it - read here: Credit Reference Agencies
