izools i take it JL card means john lewis cc,if that is the card you applied for,you should of checked your equifax report,as that what they checked for me,did you do your score mine was(414)good and they accepted me,did have a feeling they would as my equifax is twice as good as my experian report, maybe i was lucky wouldent of been if they would of checked experian, now just wonder what apr and credit limit they dish out!!!
I check it every day nearly mate.
I never pay for the scores because they are meaningless. I won't go into why.
Like I said, I wasn't declined because of my EQ file, but because I'd already been given an appalling score when I applied for an HSBC current account last month, for which they checked Experian, ergo pre-declining me for any of their credit products, including the JL card, for the next six months.
Thanks to Niddy for explaining that to me, btwCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Still not woken up properly lol!
What does the JL card score like? If accepted I take it I can still apply for HSBC?
Does the account review credit search take into account any previous applications?Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Mate its all in the link above!
JLP is the same as HSBC (scoring). If you apply for HSBC you can appeal and have a very very good chance of winning. Apply for JLP and your appeal will be like anyone elses....
If you go for an account review then apply for a HSBC card, 6 months later you are allowed to apply for a JLP card. If you got HSBC decline then 12 months later apply for JLP...
clear yet lol :rotfl::rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

The reason i applied to sygma was due to the fact that i applied for flybe 6 months ago and was declined due to the fact that i was not on the ER and was told to reapply once i had registered. Also the defaults have not caused any declines with vanquis, shop direct or jd williams.
my barclaycard and cap1 card were reinstated.
Correct me if im wrong but i have read that some companies wont go back further than 3 years if all active account payments are upto date.
I also read that defaults have less an affect on credit status when they get older. Is it worth giving them a call as i have a refrence?
Not saying defaults dont affect me though.
I will update when i get a decision. Fingers crossed.:)0 -
