You got accepted then? How much is the ST for you anyway? And how much now Zebra add their fees? No, I don't have any existing accounts with HSBC. I was highly surprised they accepted me for the credit card, especially not having any sort of history with HSBC themselves.
I'm going to balance transfer my BOS CC balance to HSBC, and start moving all of my direct debits and stuff. If I get a high enough limit, then I'll balance transfer my Flybe too, so I'll only have one card with a balance.
Yea I understand the thinking behind that, but too many unused cards means you've got stacks of available credit haven't you? Or are you going to close the ones you balance transfer from?0 -
£280 and £50 pay back £295.14 and 52.68 over 6 months apr is 19.9 %
Hahah Cap1....
Having checked our records, I can see that your account was opened on 26 October 2009. The minimum credit limit for your account was £100. Unfortunately, I’m unable to tell you the maximum limit for your card. We do regularly review all our accounts internally and when your account is eligible for an increase, we'll write and let you know. Please note that different cards have different criteria at different point of time. Therefore the minimum credit limit when you opened your account was different from what it is offered now. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more about the criteria we use, as they have to remain confidential to be effective. (:rotfl: as if) I'm sorry for the disappointment this causes. If you have any other queries, please send us a further secure message.
Why can't they tell me the max!? It says for the other cards 2.5k max, so surely they should say if it's 1k, 2k etc....it's blatantly £200 and they just don't want me to get annoyed and close it.....0 -

Hey guys and gals, looking to increase my score from a measly 590 at the mo.
This is the highest it's been in 3 years (due to past problems with credit) and want it higher.
What's the best card going round at the mo to do this. Was just about to apply for the Vanquis, but thought I'd ask before I do, so which one is best?
Thanks a bunch.
My score of 590 is with credit expert.0 -
you could try capone or aqua or vanquis make sure you pay it off in full each month0

So rather than the score, what's your file like? Do you have defaults? How many accounts, have they been recently opened? Are you on the Electoral Roll? How long have you lived at your address/had your job/had the same bank etc...
Vanquis is probably a good start as they actually give limit raises. Capital One Classic is another option, but they aren't known for their increases!0 -
Thanks Both.
I don't have a great report to be honest. When the little one was born I just missed a load of payments and then struggled after that.
In a much better situation now though, so just want to build it. Don't think I'd get approved for a standard card, so was just wondering which sub-prime would be best.
Think I may try the aqua. :cool:0 -
