Just a quick heads up on the Vanquis Black Diamond card. I see that the interest rates could catch you out still if your thinking of applying for one:Tier A) 19.9% APR (variable);
Tier29.9% APR (variable);
Tier C) 34.9% APR (variable);
Tier D) 39.9% APR (variable);
Tier E) 49.9% APR (variable);
Tier F) 59.9% APR (variable).
So you could still end up paying throught the nose if your not careful regardless of wether you go for the normal card or the Black Diamond card so be careful.0 -
No, I don't have any existing accounts with HSBC. I was highly surprised they accepted me for the credit card, especially not having any sort of history with HSBC themselves.
I'm going to balance transfer my BOS CC balance to HSBC, and start moving all of my direct debits and stuff. If I get a high enough limit, then I'll balance transfer my Flybe too, so I'll only have one card with a balance.
£500 CC limit usually mate (new customers) - unless your behaviour score at inception overwrites their acceptance (should be 60 for full account & CC).... To get a 60 would mean you have a few active accounts, nothing bad registered and at least over 12 months old (on one of your accounts).... Thats why I waited for 6 months before getting my CC cos knew i'd be able to haggle higher limit and rate (i'm on 9.9% with £3k limit)
i.e. they are happy with your history mate......:p
Bear in mind they may decline the CC yet - I had mine accepted at first, sent form off then got declined (they do cifas and double check when you send forms back)...
Put it this way, ring a day or two and you'll know if the CC has been accepted cos they will tell you or tell you it is at underwriting (refer).....
Good Luck - fingers crossed:p

Quick Q?
Can you have/apply for a diamond card as an existing vanquis customer or not?
Cheers!0
