Well, I was accepted for an HSBC bank account and HSBC credit card today. No word of the limit but the APR is 19.9% with a 15 month interest free period on balance transfers.
I make that 6 credit cards now - well on my target for 10. :rotfl:
They were incredibly fast at processing my application. I only applied on Sunday if I remember correctly and got letters today asking for my autograph. We’ve had to remove your signature. This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Wow! Do you have an existing account with them that took your behaviour into consideration? You're a student too aren't you? 6 cards  I read somewhere the max for a student was generally one and thought I was lucky to get 2!! Is HSBC card easy accept then, I might go for it :rotfl: I got rejected for their student account though in the summer :rotfl:
No, I don't have any existing accounts with HSBC. I was highly surprised they accepted me for the credit card, especially not having any sort of history with HSBC themselves.
I'm going to balance transfer my BOS CC balance to HSBC, and start moving all of my direct debits and stuff. If I get a high enough limit, then I'll balance transfer my Flybe too, so I'll only have one card with a balance. We’ve had to remove your signature. Who did they search Elky?
I have no idea. I don't have access to my reports anymore so can't check for you. Apparently they search both Experian and Equifax but I don't know how updated that information is.
Although it appears they don't seem too bothered about a high number of searches. I have 9 now on my Experian and god knows how many on my Equifax. We’ve had to remove your signature. Congratulations Elky! Are you now going to consider closing some of your credit cards accounts....
I got an internal score of 70 at the moment on my hsbc account (found this out yesterday) and yet they would not issue me a credit card or even an meanly £100 quid o/d on account.
I am quite envious you managed to get 6 credit cards at a time where obtaining credit is more difficult due to the economic climate. It is more interesting that most of your credit accounts history are new-ish and HSBC still accept you.
CONGRATULATIONS!0 -

Thank you.As for closing some accounts, I may possibly close my BOS credit card as I want to move away from them, however it's the card I've held for the longest amount of time so I'm not sure yet.
The odd thing is, I'm an unemployed student (although I do odd jobs on the side but I don't declare that as part of my annual income on applications) and I have credit cards coming out of my behind. People working full time with a decent income seem to have more trouble at obtaining credit than I do.
I had absolutely no credit history at all a little under 2 years ago. I guess I've just been lucky, but the luck will run out soon I'm sure. We’ve had to remove your signature. Re the Zebra finance thing - OH has finance through them for his Leicester Tigers season ticket and its expensive - £65 per month!
Not sure about guaranteed acceptance though - I did the forms for him (hes got mental health issues and I have his permission to deal with his finances) and it seemed along the lines of the usual acceptance due to credit check - not sure how strictly they score as OH's credit rating is perfect. (lucky him  ) so he had no issues whatsoever.
But they are good at processing stuff quickly - only took about a week for OH's ticket to be done.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
