    Hi Zack

It is a full driving licence. I sent photocopies both of the photocard and counterpart. That is why I feel frustrated with Experian!

No idea of the Cap1 limit yet. When I receive the card will tell. I was tempted to apply for the progress card, but with just 5 months history with Aqua I've chosen to play safe. Anyway after 6 months or so I will probably cancel it and apply for the progress card. By that time I might also apply for a Halifax card. Since they issue Aqua, I expect my Aqua account behaviour could be a positive thing for them.

    Thanks mate!
Ah right, no idea then, I've always been fine with them after they had to send a code to the house (that I had to open and put in). Have you requested verification in that way? It seems strange you can't be verified yet I was when I was only just 18, not on the ER and had 1 credit card only!

Ah cool, was it referred or instant accept? You may get put onto progress like me if it was referred :p. I need to check my Cap1 secure messages really....

    Edit: Still pending! :(

    Good luck! :)

What are the implications if I get a contract but give it to my mate? She got rejected for some reason. I know I'd be liable for the bill, but as a past customer they may be more likely to give me another one, especially if I phone up and tell them I'll leave my current contract if they don't. Are there any legal implications though? I know that a lot of parents do it when their kids get to about 14/15, but there is no blood relation or anything between us...

It would also give me some 0's haha :D but then it would make me look more committed than I actually am so could backfire that way?....

I have 4 voda contracts mate - no problem in giving one to your mate, just make sure you authorise them to ring up etc and give a password for them and restrict what they can do, i.e. no cancellation or upgrades etc... so you stay in control.

Its perfectly legal what you do with your phones mate!

Ah thanks, that's great then! As for giving access, I had that problem with Setanta when I was 17! (Parents that know nothing about sport, pfft! :p), every time I phoned up they could tell I wasn't "mrs" (wonder how!?) so I just was like yea it's my mum she doesn't have a clue about any technology :rotfl: (actually true!). Sometimes they did give me access to the account, other times they would get all DPA about it . I thought it was allowed to take out contracts like that because of relations though, well not allowed but not frowned on, and we're in the same house etc - I'm taking one out for my mate purely because she was rejected.

Do companies score contracts differently when they look up your report? As it's utility.... Because I've got 2 already (that Sim Zero counts, which is good and bad I suppose!). But my o2 one says £0 @ 0 months, so lenders obviously have to guess (and as I'm on one of the most expensive and longest plans whatever they guess would be an understatement :rotfl:)

As for my own contract, trying to get insurance to swap my phone, accidental damage, but I lost the old one before xmas so I think they're going to be more of a pain about it this time....

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't take out a contract for a friend.

There are plenty examples of folk on these forums who've helped out friends (and even family) only to be shafted when the times got tough. If you're seriously considering it, maybe think about:
    1. Asking Vodafone to cap the usage at £xx (not 100% sure if they can do this)
    2. Ensure that you have a written agreement with the friend in case it all goes pear shaped

Some might argue that the second suggestion is a little confrontational. I'd argue that it's essential as there would be few things worse than having your credit history impaired as a young student (just assuming you're young-ish, no offence intended :)).
