    Hi everyone!

I know I don't participate a lot here, but today have good news. Just received the PIN for my new Capital One classic, my second credit card after Aqua. Also received a letter from Barclaycard and I have been provisionally approved for the Initial. They need to see bank statements and so on.

I hate Experian. Each and every time I apply for my credit report they write asking for a photocopy of my passport. I do not have a passport, so I send my driving licence and bank and credit card statements. Yet they say no, they want to see my passport. I'm fed up and this time will write to the ICO.

By the way, I am a brand new daddy of a pretty baby girl. :j

    Cheers:beer:
That's strange! Is your driving licence full or provisional? Some places won't accept provisional as ID (no idea why, they're all issued by the same people!). Well done on Cap1, hopefully you get a decent limit, because after the 4 month increase it seems you'll be stuck on it!

Congrats about your daughter too! :)

    Hi Zack

It is a full driving licence. I sent photocopies both of the photocard and counterpart. That is why I feel frustrated with Experian!

No idea of the Cap1 limit yet. When I receive the card will tell. I was tempted to apply for the progress card, but with just 5 months history with Aqua I've chosen to play safe. Anyway after 6 months or so I will probably cancel it and apply for the progress card. By that time I might also apply for a Halifax card. Since they issue Aqua, I expect my Aqua account behaviour could be a positive thing for them.

Great news. Best wishes to you all. My son turned 16, 2 weeks ago and in that 2 weeks, he's got his provisional licence, taken and passed his CBT and got a new scooter...all courtesy of mummy and daddy...

I protest! It seems like only yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital as a brand new baby :)

It only took 2 weeks to get the provisional? When I applied, it took more like 2 months.

Make sure he never ever goes out on the scooter in winter weather or heavy rain, and to slow right down before turning if the road is wet. Road surfaces are incredibly slippy when wet and scooters tyres are much smaller so they can't grip the surface as well as cars.
