I didn't get an email from Barclaycard, despite including my addy in the online application -
I found out the limit early by doing something VERY risky - I called to ask the limit and they said they can't tell me until the card arrives and it's activated and I said it's already arrived I just don't have it to hand - so they activated it whilst it was still in the post and told me £1,150 -
Stupid impatient thing to do on my part, could've been swiped by the postie and I wouldn't have a leg to stand on but thankfully it didn't :beer:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

HSBC, Citi & Bank of Ireland all asked me for the end date and full card number prior to allowing me to activate it - maybe Barclays are just amateurs.... :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'd never have blagged that, come to think of it activating debit cards sometimes ask for the expiry date - HSBC do (but you do that online) however BoC asked me for the security code on the back and the full card number
