    I can advise that all applications we review are subject to credit scoring ( elaborates on credit scoring )

    I can however confirm that the principle reason your orignal application was declined was due to the CRA data. Your application has been given further consideration but we regret that we are unable to alter our original decision"

    Does this mean that I was declined on scoring because it sound to me like adverse data?
    Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
    Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
    6 credit accounts closed in 2010!

    It sounds like something to do with your report. I'd have thought your report was good given all your other accounts! Maybe the CRA data isn't actually bad, it's that the CRA lists you as having all these accounts, and that affects your score, so that's why they declined you (overcommitted in their eyes?)

    Oh and HSD, despite dispatching my order, haven't bothered to tell me whether my limit is going up or down (or staying the same).....:confused:

    Morning everyone :)

    Quick questions about my Vanquis card. The limit is £250 as I have only just got it. I rang the QuickCall line this morning to see what the balance is and it says £153 to spend.

    I think I might have spent more than this though, although not sure as been using it to do the Christmas shopping (paying the balance off in full next Monday though).

    It the available balance on QuickCall a real upto date balance or could there still be stuff that hasnt come off there yet ?

    Not sure if I have to get all my receipts out and add them all up!


    Also - tried the new online thing to pay some off the balance and its says my details are recongised ???? Anyone else having this problem or it is because I am not able to use it yet as not had a first statement ?

    Your balance is in real time, however give Vanquis a call on their free number 0800 7816314 regarding your other query, avoid the expensive 0870 number.

    I rang them and the reason the online payment thing wouldnt work is because I hadnt registered a debit card to use with it. Have done that now :)

    If you have registered your card you can pay in on the 0800 number as well.
    TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T

    Ahhh - something else I didnt know then :)

    Be glad when i get a statement at least - then I will know how it all works!

    Will try and pay over the phone now then and see if that works :)
