Interesting one. I got my response from barclaycard:

"I under you are unhappy with our decision to decline your Barclaycard application.

I can advise that all applications we review are subject to credit scoring ( elaborates on credit scoring )

I can however confirm that the principle reason your orignal application was declined was due to the CRA data. Your application has been given further consideration but we regret that we are unable to alter our original decision"

Does this mean that I was declined on scoring because it sound to me like adverse data?
I called up to quiery this an was indirectly advised it is because I have more than 5 searches for the year...... She told me to re-apply in 3 months and the descion should be a better one?

Thats the amount before VAT mate..... Voda do that on all their things! :D

Yeah but even with VAT added, it'll still be a few pence short of the price displayed when I ordered.

I can't believe they actually told you their "number of searches" criteria - they only searched Equifax, right?

He then proceeded to tell me that 8 out of the 9 employees that worked there had been declined for a full contract and when they tried a sim only deal only 1 of that 8 passed... He reckons that there is a 98% chance of being accepted for SIM only aswell

Mate none of that makes sense! If it is easy (which I know it is thus I texted you to go with voda lol), then all the staff would have passed. similarly, a sim only at 98% would mean that 7 passed and one failed lol

Am i missing something or have you made a typo matey?

One point to ask, do P4U still override credit decisions with a credit card? They used to charge £100 to the card and if it authorised, they'd cancel the payment but give you the contract! They stopped it round the time PAYG credit cards were growing..... ;)
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o

LOL - What I was getting at was that at first he was telling me they are an easy pass and when I passed he started telling me how difficult it was.

I don't think that the do override anymore however the system they use doesn't appear to have changed in the last 3 years!

I did notice that there were customers on the phones as they had been referred....
