Nope - they do not mate. N Hunter is usually built into Experian systems but the utility (and mobile) companies opt out cos it really isn't worth their while. They don't usually subscribe to CIFAS either...2010 - year of the troll

Vodafone does use National Hunter. I was told this when I applied for an N97.

Mate Voda Italy
Voda UK doesn't - unless it is a recent change? The reason that utility companies do not use it in the UK is because it isn't worthwhile - the projected loss wouldn't warrant the fee for subscribing.
N Hunter is designed to allow lenders the facility to see variations in application data provided by the consumer to the company. In the case of utility companies, such as Voda, using it - there are only 4 other companies (orange, o2, 3, T-Mobile) that could be used and N Hunter wouldn't play a part in the other 4 because they do not subscribe either!
N Hunter is only any good to subscribers that look at the data provided, so if Voda did it and the other 4 never then its a waste of money - quite simply because the purpose of prevention would not kick-in due to the other utility companies not subscribing.
Anyway, things may have changed -
How do you mean 'it was used when you applied for an N97'? You'd never know unless you SAR'd N Hunter and it showed there, in which case i'd be worrying....? I have an N97 (plus 2 other good phones) and N Hunter was not showing any ref to Voda when I SAR'd them.....2010 - year of the troll

TBH my N-Hunter should be flagging as I have deffo had some inconsitancies however my OH has had similar and has caused her no issues.
My main discrepancy is time at address - I had a temp address, that is showing on my report that I always fail to disclose..... This is because I have had my current address for 11years however if I included the additional address I would only be there for 6 months as I moved out then back in.

Mate N Hunter will not pick up regular patterns of same data - only irregular patterns (such as a blind guess by a fraudster)..... any flag will show 'applicant refer' but even so that alone will not decline you, it would make the lender study you before saying yes/no.
iPhone - flash sod! I thought you said you got the HTC? Or is iPhone the old phone? Wanna sell it mate :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll
