Hi Guys
I have 1 credit card and a current account never missed any payments I have had my bank account HSBC for a few years and the credit card Vanquis for a year.
I have not made any credit application for anything for a year I would like a New Credit card with my own bank or a main stream card.
Do you think it' worth a credit search or should I just wait and build my credit history.
Both account's report on my Credit File..any help and advice will be most welcomed0 -

Ask HSBC - they are most likely to say yes due to internal behaviour score. Do not just apply though, best to go into branch and ask for account review cos you want to know what you're eligible to apply for. They will then tell you everything you can apply for including credit limit on card, overdraft amount loan amount etc etc. It only does one search but allows you to apply for various items all at once under the same search.2010 - year of the troll

Just got an email saying my brand new sexy phone has been sent today. With any luck, I'll receive it tomorrow, but they've sent it via Royal Mail so it'll probably end up on the flight to Nigeria or somewhere. We’ve had to remove your signature. I thought they weren't allowed to decline applications purely because of a notice of correction?
From my point of view, I'd have thought it was good to have inaccurate information corrected rather than leaving it and having Tesco use the inaccurate info for whatever reason.
Plus it was only a linked address, not like a default or CCJ. Wheres the harm in that? I'd scream profanity at them but I'm in too good of mood.
They cannot decline you due to the NoC mate - it is forbidden. Have you actually appealed, its when you do this that you get to explain - pointless doing it with the boffin on the phone, they can't change the decision.... :rolleyes:2010 - year of the troll

I got an instant acceptance when I applied. However I hadn't received the card and phoned them to find out what was happening, that's when they told me it had been declined because of that very reason. Not so much as a letter to tell me what was happening, which in my opinion is pretty bad.
They want proof now that it has been removed from my file so I've just sent them my latest credit file. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Fair play - see what that does mate...... they shouldn't use anything else on the file you send them, in essence you can erase all the rest and just send the part they require so if you've sent the whole report, they should accept you cos it shows them more than they could otherwise see.....2010 - year of the troll
