I would have thought the MBNA football club ones would generally be scored the same.
I would also think that the scoring between other cards, for example one that has a lower APR as apposed to one that has higher APR, then the scoring would be more relaxed for the higher APR.
Basically there are cards that are aimed at certain people (people with high income, good credit score etc) but depending on what the criteria is, then I am guessing they will be scored differently.0 -
scoring is unique to each lender and each lender has their own criteria - for instance, Saga only targetted people aged over 60 or whatever whereas Egg want young professionals whereas Tesco want non clubcard customers (ideally) so if you apply to tesco do not add a clubcard number (until after you've been accepted - then log-in and do it)! You're already a customer so no point fighting for your custom - lol.
Secret is to apply for Tesco and ask for a BT of your Sainsbury balance - see what they say then! lol.....2010 - year of the troll

Just spoke to Bank of del Cyprus and they told me that I could have a cheque book - one has been ordered. I then said I wanted to guarantee the cheques, no problem Niddy - a CGC (£100) is in the post for you.
Just like that - seems a good bank on 1st impressions......
I'll post new image of card if and when one comes!2010 - year of the troll

Just to flip that.
Surely by supplying your clubcard number they can determine your average yearly spend.
If you are a very high spending customer they may not want to harm their good standing relationship with you and at the vey least supply you with a £250.00 limit credit card
Ps Good afternoon people0 -

Nah - they don't look at things like that mate - they are more interested in new custom to the brand or stealing a competitors customers.... think about the logic, if I already use Tesco then why would they bend over to keep me by giving me a card; if however I shop elsewhere then to Tesco i'm a good catch cos surely the fact they issue me a card will make me shop in there, won't it?
Remember mate, banks/lenders do not use our logic - there is a back door to profit wherever you look......... :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

Who do Bank of Cyprus search?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Recently moved in a houseshare went barclays they declined me for a full account, they did open me up a cashcard account lovely.
The following week I applied for a Premier Man account over the phone the lady said want it months home approval YESSUM! I said few days later logged in my account said -£80 for trainers I ordered, so I rang them said account declined but order went through pay us back £10 per month on a statement!.
The this week I went in Lloyds thinking I would only get a cashcard again!, The fella did a search then rang underwriter while I was still in the office!(tut tut) he said I can have their top account Premier, Platinum, Gold or Silver looked through the benefits & plumped for the Gold. My mate said cancel it as soon as you can as get same rates with Classic Vantage. Also with a £250 overdraft.
I am not on the voters yet I can get these products is it the address?
Cos I applied this time last year gave same info lived there 5 years when I had not, time with employer etc etc?
I havent even had a letter from the local council saying I am on the voters?
Crazy!, Now I have a question is it best waiting six months for a credit card with Lloyds? or applying for one from a predator of a lender like vanquis or aqua?
I had 3 searches on Experian & One on Equifax I think not sure as still waiting for my reports.0 -

I understand your point.
But that said not everyone who obtains a Tesco CC shops there, My GF is a fine example of that.
She used and abused the card for the six month balance transfer and we still shop @ asda:D
I would need Tescos data before i can agree with your logic.:D
Catch you later mate0
