:rotfl: To be fair Monday & Wednesday nights are Student nights here, only other days I go out are maybe Friday and/or maybe Saturday (depending on who goes home for the weekend and who doesn't), the other days here are deserted.... Must admit Monday is a funny day tho, especially to anyone that doesn't know!!!

So basically three to four nights a week... like the girl in the flat upstairs bless her I was wondering why she wasn't up for a night out in Saturday night and she pointed out she'd been up till 2~3 for the last three nights on the trot...

Thankfully she has [STRIKE]several [/STRIKE] many debauched friends so it could be the start of a good friendship :D

what you recommend about the credit cards i payed off, Keep them or bin them?

    Capital one
    MBNA
    Vanquis

Keep them mate - you should always have at least 2 running accounts, one for normal use and one for back-up just in case....... but of the 3 i'd bin the dreaded "V".....

However up to you mate, they do no harm if you can resist spending on them.... 3 accounts with smallish limits will not affect you mate, I stick to 3 accounts (but actually have 4 - although debating whether to close Vanquis myself?).... :D

    Good Morning,

Just to let you know yesterdays creation search for a credit limit increase was a soft search via Equifax.

Close it, they aren't worthy of your custom, or even chance your luck at trying to get an APR reduction.

I don't think anyone in the history of Vanquis has had a reduction in APR. :rotfl:

Great. I'm glad they don't do a full search. I think I shall call them for an increase, although 30% isn't much to get excited about. I suppose I should be grateful and say it's better than nothing. :D

I don't know if it will be a soft search in all cases though.

There seems to be no golden rule with lenders:D

Got an email about the accessory MasterCard from JDW...as it's been emailed to me is there some kind of relaxed scoring for it, or is it a standard application? They are saying about a free gift and discount etc if I got through their link....

Damn haha, I've applied to them within 6 months anyway. And if it's same scoring I'd rather have JJB....

Are different cards within the same bank scored differently or not? Obviously lowest Crap1 is scored differently to highest, but say the JJB (Sygma) and JDW, are they going to be identical criteria or do they all vary? And same with MBNA (although got more chance of winning the lottery than getting anything off those lot), the England/Man Utd etc football cards are the same as the other MBNA ones (Classic or whatever it is) or are they going to be different?
