Tp throw something in here, all applications I have made recently, I have put down my current address as 2 years 5 months, and previous 18 months (this was a genuine mis calculation on my behalf) and yesterday when I got my credit report, as isks you to confirm lenght of time at all addresses, and it said, 2 years 3 months at previous, so again, I could be CIFAS'ed for this?!

Also with further applications, do I keep it at 18 months or change it to the correct one, could that would flag too, arghhhhh!

What is the correct info? you use the correct info cos if a cifas was added then you prove they have it wrong and they wipe it.

Also a CRA cannot cifas you - only a lender that subscribes to cifas (not all do) :D

You are worrying over nothing but one thing you need to learn is to pay attention, thats for sure mate :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl:. I wish I could charge people for random numbers . Callcredit offer a free trial. I'm quite tempted to find out what random number they give me. It won't mean much but if it's like 400 that's pretty awful, where if it's 800 then it's more promising! I think my file isn't too bad (minus searches due to drop off....) but wonder if lenders think that! Wish they all had the pre-app check like Barclaycard
    Ring and ask mate - they are open! 08457 20 30 40
Thanks, will that seem desperate though? Will give it a try (when I've searched Saynoto0870 :p o2 would charge me most of my student loan if I phoned that on my mobile!)

Here's your random number: 4597657688. That'll be £8.99 please. Cheque or postal order only, thanks.

lol cheeky, I do pay attention, its all just so confusing!

Correct info is 2 years 3 months, I was there from May 2005 until August 2007, so what should I do with future applications?

I told you before, the pre-app checker at Barclays is flawed, useless and irrelevant.

They do a soft search with CallCredit (the weakest of the 3 CRA's) and then based upon the results from that they give a % of acceptance based on full search which is irrelevant as they use a totally different CRA - namely Equifax.

Beggars Belief. I am 90% acceptance rate but fail each time even though I have 3 prime cards, 2 gold at that!

Thanks :p. I like the Micheal McIntyre bit on Sky, I'll try and find it, but it's pretty much what the CRAs do (give you pretty useless information :p)

I know it's flawed, but if all my places report to all 3 (which I think they do) then if they are basing their decision on that surely the bulk of it is the same? In the live chat they said they can see account limits etc, so if they see I've got a natwest card with a 350 limit, cap 1 with 100, o2 contract etc - when it comes to searching for real they'll see the same data, so it should be a very similar score?

Would be nice if more offered it (and used the same CRA as for full applications)

Barclaycard one does seem strange though!
