Pin number from Capital One arrive today. Very quick!
How long for the card, any ideas?0 -
I can reapply for First Direct in 3 weeks, though I might leave it 6-8 weeks. That way I'd have around 20 searches fallen off my file, and 0 searches in the last 3 months.
My Experian score (I know they don't mean much) has gone to 620. I'm also coming up to having my CapitalOne Classic for a year.0 -
you will have it by wednesday sutton0

They seem to off speeded up their act as they were taking forever to post cards out.0 -
By the way would I ever be able to get 2 student cards? Or am I just wasting a search? My Natwest card comes up on my report as "Natwest Card Services", not that it's a student card, and I never signed any agreement regarding only having 1 card so if they think I can afford the balances on the cards I have would I possibly get another? I know the account terms are only to have 1 student current account (likewise with Halifax) but the cards don't say that....
May be the fastest way for me to get a Halifax card, my thinking being that it should then be easier to get an upgrade to a full card when I'm not a student.... like their 0% cards.....
I wouldn't apply now BTW, another few months at least, as it was wasn't long ago I was last searched by Halifax (Aug I think).
Just got hold of my search dates for Capital One too. The first one was 9th May apparently (possible, just after my birthday, but I thought I applied later) the second was 21st Oct, so 5 & 1/2 months between them with getting the card on 9th Nov. First time round they searched Experian & Equifax, probably because there was next to no data on both files. Haven't got an up to date Experian report

Saying that they have no way of confirming you receive any loans or bursary.
I would have remind you that you can still be declined for student accounts/credit cards and the best time to apply is just before the start of a new term as the credit scoring relaxes as ALL banks compete for students.

Effect, Why are you soo determined to get this 1st direct account?
You best chance for acceptance is to wait until the 20 searches fall off your file and apply. DO NOT REQUEST O/D OR CREDIT CARD AS THIS WILL INCREASE THE REQUIRED SCORE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.
What is your HSBC behaviour score as they may use this whilst accessing your application?Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
