You add interest plus costs - so i'd be going along the lines of claiming at least £30 stationary costs along with the main claim.
Thank you
Will keep ya updated.
Thing is i dont know the date i won as dont have any paperwork. Lost0 -

Thank you for choosing Barclaycard. An Advisor will be with you shortly. Your chat may be monitored and recorded for training and security purposes, any abusive or inappropriate dialogue will be reported.
You are now connected with Sofie.
Sofie: Hi, you're chatting to Sofie. How may I help you today?
Zack: Hi, I'm looking at applying for the Barclaycard Initial. I've been told that the pre-application check does a "soft" check of my credit report. This rates me as 60 to 70%, but what is the difference between a "soft" check and the full check you would carry out if I apply? [I know they use Call Credit as NID said, just wanted to know what info they could get hold of], What kind of information can you see in the "soft" check?
Sofie: By 'soft' check I assume you mean a footprint? This is less damaging than a full search on your credit report which weakens your score.
Sofie: The footprint just leaves a small mark on your credit file so it is not deemed as a full search.
Zack: Thank you, yes it is footprint that I mean. So when Barclaycard left the footprint they would be able to see everything about me (repayment history/accounts I've got/account limits etc) just like when I apply in full?
Sofie: That is correct yes.
Zack: Thank you. On the pre-application check there is no student option, and you do not offer a student card, so I picked unemployed as I don't have a job - is this ok?
Sofie: You do need to be earning over £10,000 per annum to apply for our initial card Zack.
Zack: Does this include Student grants and other contributions (I get £11,000 in total that way) rather than a salary?
Sofie: I see, yes thats fine0 -

Well SAR them then! Then you'll get copies of their paperwork. You would then add the SAR request (£10 fee) to the claim as well, as you need it to bring the claim in the first place - see where i'm going with this?
Your head must be a mess right now mate - you're acting very dizzy lol2010 - year of the troll

I'm getting 60-70 now though, rather than a decline like it said before, using the same details, so they must be able to see something about my repayment history on Call Credit?
Zack you need to calm down on your applications mate - wait a year and you'll probably get whatever you apply for but the way you come across on here would make me run a mile if you applied, lol - no offence mate but you know what I mean.
Its not a case of figuring out a lender that will lend to you, but more a case of getting products that will help your life - a £100 crappy1 card to me has no bearing to man-nor-beast and should be dropped. This card is only of benefit to those that need green 0's.
Similarly, barclaycard is a nightmare and their pre-app checker is flawed as they do not use the same CRA for the full search as the soft search meaning the result of the soft search is irrelevant.2010 - year of the troll

But as a student not much is going to help my life? Companies like Crappy1 decide they don't want to increase anything, and Natwest decide they don't like students! A fiver a month from Halifax would do nicely (as well as increasing my internal score with them so that may help me in the future) but they haven't updated their decision online yet, and when they do it's probably decline. Technically that's an application, but I never realised until after. I read that they may use CRA for ID & decision making, but I thought that was 1) a standard thing and 2) ID check = soft search like Carphone Warehouse did - I took out my contract through them/E2save - but only O2 did the full credit search
I'd love a 0% on purchases card to put all my spending on (obviously not including cash for things like nights out, unfortunately) and put my student loan and other money in a bond/savings now that interest rates are half decent again.....but I think there more chance of me winning the lottery than getting a 0% card when I'm a student? Hence why I want the likes of MBNA & Halifax to accept me for good internal rating, then when I apply for decent MBNA stuff I might get it (along with my nice England card that I'll hopefully get in the summer). Same with Barclaycard, that will help my life very slightly (contactless through London), but their top cards seem good, and existing customers are told to phone rather than apply online (pre-approved stuff?) so again improving my internal rating for that with them and Halifax
What do you think the best I could get would be, assuming I had no searches in the 6 months before an application. Maybe not 1 product, but generally? 0% would be nice, but I can't see that happening. One with a decent limit wouldn't really affect me because I have to pay it all back in full, and interest on something like £200 is pretty poor. Not maxing cards out would be useful so I won't look desperate - haven't maxed out my Natwest this month (well theres still time!) I'm on about £275 of the £350, but my Crappy1 is on £98.32 out of £100 I believe!

Just rang Capital One again! And they tell me I've been accepted for the card it's £200 limit which isn't great, but really, really pleased. Hopefully that'll go up on my 4th statement!
It's my first credit card, in a while!!0 -
Odd - my second Vodafone bill came through and it says I owe £0.00 and it is due on the 26th Jan.We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
