Ok, I really need some help here, I have just got my credit report from Equifax, and I paid £7.50 I think, can I ask, is this per month? Also do I need to cancel it? Sorry I made a spur of the moment decision, so did it (I am very umpulsive)
Anyway its not too bad, I expected it to be much worse, here are some of the nasties:
1 default at current address (didnt take this credit out at current address)
3 defaults at previous address(es)
Been on electoral Roll for 3 years at current, and 2 at previous. No linked addresses or financial associates.
1 default at previous, previous address wgich is due to fall off in Feb :-)
33 green o's from my bank, 4 from Vanquis, 4 from t-mobile, and 8 from JD Williams and Co (2 accounts)
No CCJ's
9 searches in 9 months
No GAIN, and no CIFAS
I am actually quite pleased, I know I have defaults, but I thought it would be much worse!
It backs up what I was saying, it is Experian who hate me and hold the most nasties!0 -
afternoon troops hows everyone0

Got a reply from Capital One :rotfl:
Thank you for your message......... Got to make a transaction etc..... If you do all these things, we'll automatically increase your credit limit after your 4th statement. Unfortunately, I’m unable to tell you the amount by which your credit limit will increase. Our policy criteria has to remain confidential [that's why it's widely reported on MSE what I'm going to get!? Nice and confidential eh!?] to be effective. I’m sorry but it’s not possible to have a larger increase even if you pay a kind of security deposit and I can’t tell you when your account will be reviewed again for a credit limit increase. However, we regularly review all our accounts internally and when your account is eligible for an increase, we'll write and let you know.
As expected really...
And I then phoned Halifax, they say I wasn't on their first system and after taking security details about my last deposits etc they checked another and said that it's been referred and they haven't had a decision back yet and if I was to call on Monday I might have one.... possible hope as it's not been an outright decline so far? Can't call Monday as I'm at uni until 7 , unless the trains are bad and I don't go........:D, so hopefully they stick it online

That seems pretty good, obviously the defaults will hold you back but you can't do anything about that now - just a waiting game. I'd watch the searches though, I'm hyperactive when it comes to applying for things and even I haven't got that many. I think 10~ a year was rumoured to be about the max (someone else will confirm), but fewer is obviously better.

There should have been a free trial of the basic service, is it http://www.equifax.co.uk/Products/identity-theft/credit-watch-gold.html you signed up to? That's monthly so yea you can cancel it

Yeah mate, I am going to stop applying for a while now, but I thought I had done more than 9 to be honest!
I also see the Post Office did a credit check (for my phone line) on the 6th Jan (date of order) - and they accepted me, so hopefuly they will report back to them0 -
im not applying for any think till next years now0

I'm doing some carefully timed applications in June (when a lot of searches will have dropped of) and I'm doing 1 with Equifax and one with Experian, then when I get a decision I'll move on to the next one in the list
Yea, I'd have been very surprised if they didn't. Now they've checked they will report back0 -
My driving test is in less than 3 weeks and I've yet to learn to reverse around a corner and my reverse parking sucks.
I'll most likely have to reschedule the test and spend more money on lessons.
lol I've been watching the news and it is quite funny watching the English whine about how cold it is. They should spend a couple of weeks in Scotland then they'll really have some to whine about (no offence). :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature.
