Haha disagree with you 2 there, I'd rather be hot than this cold! The snow is fun though!

My driving test is in less than 3 weeks and I've yet to learn to reverse around a corner and my reverse parking sucks. :( I'll most likely have to reschedule the test and spend more money on lessons.

lol I've been watching the news and it is quite funny watching the English whine about how cold it is. They should spend a couple of weeks in Scotland then they'll really have some to whine about (no offence). :rotfl:
I went into my test not being able to do reverse round corner. I kept putting the test back so that I could try and improve, but I just wasn't improving at that so thought I might as well take a chance and hope I don't get it. The examiner wanted it - he was looking down loads of side streets but they were all being used :) - so had bay park instead... did that perfectly for the first time ever :rotfl:

Good luck though :). It sucks all this snow is around close to your test though, it's such a vital time for learning :(

Haha, I haven't watched it but might later, will be in for a laugh:rotfl:

just got my experian report as well, that holds pretty much the same information, defaults account to about £1500, all to one company (three accounts) - looks like all the really bad stuff has fallen off :-)

I did the reverse around a corner for the first time today and found it relatively easy and did it correct every time I tried it, the instructor said some find it hard, some find it easy. It's the bay parking I find hard LOL.

Bay parking, I think will fail me. I'm spending an entire lesson next week practicing on it.

Crappy One always use Equifax - they are tied into a joint service level agreement mate, there is more chance of their MD flying to the moon than them searching Experian mate.

I know we've been here before but why would they search away from their joint SLA? It makes no sense and this would be the first such case of them searching experian before equifax.... To be fair, just noticed you stated 04/2008 but even then, they primarily used Equifax.

I think you may be slightly mistaken matey - sorry, but they don't actually use Experian and only recently started to share data with them. Crappy1 have controlling interests, as do Barclays, in Equifax.;)

Anyone who subscribes to CreditExpert from experian knows that this is how a search appears on their report:

    Cap1EX.jpg

Thre three times I've applied for a Cap One Classic they searched EX and EQ, and the two times my OH applied for a Cap One they searched EX and EQ, too.

Feel free to call Experian and / or Capital One if you don't believe me

This was sorted out some days ago between NID and Cash Flow. It's old news now. :j

Can you stop quoting the screen print - its too big!!!

For the third time (lets hope you pick ip up this time) Cap1 use Equifax, they would only ever use Experian (same as Barclays) if they get a null report from Equifax. What is your point, this is a fact and proven beyond doubt.

There is always the odd case where a CRA may be used out the norm, like my recent Ulster Bank CC application - ONLY searched CallCredit - !!!!!!? That stumped me. No trace on the big 2, why is this I wonder?

So I get told by my mate at RBS that if they have performed a search in tha last 3 months they may use the same data and just pay for a CallCredit update.

Who'd have ever figured that out?

My point remains, Crappy1 search Equifax as they have a controlling interest in them! :D

When I refer to a null report, this could mean anything - i.e. you have an account with them, they searched equifax and then you apply for an increase and they decide to use Experian. Or maybe an additional card holder, they can then search you across all 3 to check for links. There are too many reasons, but the point i'm making is that they primarily use Equifax and still do to this day - for new customers!

Just wanted to add that my Barclays current account application resulted in a Experian search and no Equifax search whatsoever. My equifax file, like my OH's, has plenty of data and won't return a null result.

Just because a company has an "interest" in another doesn't mean they will exclusively use their service when a competitor (Experian in this case) may provide a more reliable result (i.e. better at linking addresses).

So it was... I was just trawling through the old posts to find out about Cap One Limit Increases (OH got that card applied for in December, £200 limit on a £30,000 salary and only other debt is a £800 balance on a Vanquis card with £2,000 limit).

Wasn't intending to post TBH but couldn't help myself :p saw the correction in a later post apols for bringing it up again.

But it's a good point, just because a company has an interest in another is no reason to assume they will use that company for their services when a competitor offers a better one!

Can be odd, OH's Barclays A/C application involved a EQ and EX search, mine just EX. If Cap1 only used EQ I'd be laughing as I have no adverse on there, but a mountain of adverse on EX ;)
