First Happy birthday Miroslav!! I would phone Britney but she is having a tough time too I hear!! Glad everyone partied with you-you will regret all that cake though!! Looking for a woman eh? Perhaps we can get a rose and a times for you too for the Southampton Primark trip also have a birthday moneysave with you!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh, phone her anyway, Britney and I could get together and have it tough together and help each other through. I'll have to try and remember how to do nappies............it's been a while :o

I'll regret the cake another day, it was very nice :D

Southampton Primark Trip? Shopping :o I don't really like shopping :o Could I just wait in a cafe for you, eat some cake and then when you all finish shopping, eat some more cake with you all.................you never know, I might find a cafe with a single young lady with a lovely personality, walk off into the sunset and live happily ever after.............:rotfl:
  • But then again as you haven't been shopping a load of lovely ladies may just MAKE YOU PAY FOR ALL THE CAKES!!!!! (Moneysaving technique I have learned.)
    He he!
Oh the thanks button isn't working properly.

If you fall asleep while trying meditation, its just practising catching yourself in the relaxed state before letting yourself drift off. Of course if you been up half the night or havent slept for a few days thats a diffferent story!

Dont eat main meals before meditation, this will make falling asleep easier to do and give your body too much to do physically (digesting).

    I'll shut up now.

Don't shut up Spirit, we all love what you say there is proof in your outstanding thanks count. What is the trick? You sending spiritual vibes to the thanks button? Are you hypnotising people into thanking you? Huh? Or is it just that you say valuable things like how to post an apple ;) and I just write cr*p?

Happy birthday Miroslav!! Sorry I'm late. I've been at work all day then came home promptly fell asleep (too many late nights) got up in time to watch the last 2 episodes of Desperate Housewives before reading all the new posts on this thread.

I've never gotten into meditation, but when I get uptight and unsettled I go and have a nice long bath with dimmed lights lots of candles some relaxing music - I quite like Kelly Joe Phelps album "shine eyed mr zen" blue grass blues or the sound track to "The Last of the Mohicans"
plus I like to completely loose myself in a book, fantasy are my favourite like David eddings or Robin Hobb.

can't really join in the medication and illness discussion. Only problem I have in that area is excess weight and that is mainly due to my sedintary life style. I love my computer, my books and my kitchen. Oh yeah and living in north east scotland makes outside excerise a little difficult for 3/4 of the year.
I don't really like medication either. I once took 2 weeks of work with stress. My GP offered me pills, but I wasn't up for it. I knew the reasons for my stress and I needed a complete break to have time to calm down and get everything into perspective.
Spent 2 weeks at my OH's house (before we lived together) took the kids out of school my DS needed the beak too and just completely chilled out. Spent 2 weeks making nice meals, sipping wine and enjoying the sunshine. Yes sunshine in the north west coast of scotland - in June noless

I'll try and join in again tomorrow, but I'm in Dundee all day and the driving just shatters me. Wish I could join you on mini-meet or just for coffee.
If you're ever up near Aberdeen, Banff, Fraserburgh, Peterhead etc get in touch.

Hugs to all and good-night for now:p

    Evening/morning all!!

Ooh - a real life man meeting us for cake - looking forward to it :)

Thanks for the meditation tips urban, really useful :) Unfortunately I have been unable to tune out of my tinitus so far, only been able to ignore it by having other noise around. I really envy you being able to let go like that.

Nearly 1am and still up! I think I'm getting the hand of this singledom lark ;)

    Sweet dreams all
