New year new start is my mantra!! I have joined a social group! It looks really good, a relaxed way to meet some new friends, it did cost me some cash but if that means that its more off putting to the not so genuine element then its worth it. I have also been chatting to a local guy on msn who I came accross on myspace so hopefully have found a friend there aswell.
Hope the new year is a fresh start for all. xx
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!
  • Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying a good start to 2007.

CG - yes there does seem to be quite a few people on here from Scotland. I would rather not say what I do but I work to pay my bills!

tigerlily - that is how I came in contact with a person new to my area - met her on Tuesday night for a few drinks at a local pub and she seemed quite nice so that may develop into a friendship.

Not really done anything about looking into joining new groups yet. May try this weekend and see what I can find out and what options are open. Or may be really adventurous and just go to the local pub and see what is 'going on' although to be honest I will pretty much know everyone in there and none of them are potential friends so I kind of see it as a pointless exercise. But I guess some people may see it as being more 'social' than sitting at home and chatting to friends on internet.

    Morning all.

Couttsy... are you a gigolo? teehee

Tigerlily - sounds like a great idea. Let us all know how it goes. Not sure i'm quite brave enough to do something like that

I'm at work, bit bored, cant stop thinking about smoking. The nicotine gum is making me feel a bit sick.

Still no news on the bro moving out front. Getting real nervous that its all going to go a bit pete tong.

  • CC I will throw him out for you. Couttsy could be a help to encourage him out depending on his skills!!!!!!:rotfl: Ha! He has set us all off!!
DON'T smoke coz you will kill yourself. We like you and smoking is paying to kill yourself. You can do it. There are tonnes of inspirational books out there. Try the patches...sorry I am no use i am sure but keep strong.
    Love to all,
    CG still not working. :rotfl:

You think so do you? :D. Well it is not a gigolo but it could be arranged!!!! Afraid it is far more boring than that. I suppose you could say I just stare at a computer screen for most of the day and far from exciting. Not a decorator either so can't help with that!!!

    Let the intrigue begin!

CC - hope the move goes well - but siblings can be a pain in the you know what! Can't comment on the smoking as thankfully I never tried it, so in fortunate position of not having to give up. But not about to preach about something I know little about but best wishes.

Right better get back to work (or try to!)

    Thanks Couttsy.

Maybe i'll bore you one night on msn at how hard i'm finding it. Off to GA tonight. Will be my first night around smokers for a while. Not looking forward to it.

Have fun everyone. Gonna do some work now.

I am really hoping the social group thing works out, I havent been to anything yet as the welcome pack only came this week so I have to decide which things I would like to do and book them.
This is a link to the website http://www.cornwallsocialgroup.com/ I would have thought there would be similar groups around the country, from reading this site it says it goes up as far as Bristol at least.
Apologies if the link is not allowed, I just thought it might help some people to see what the group I have joined is all about.
Hopefully I will be brave enough to actually go!!
