I reckon things were easier years ago when rural communities were more closer knit. What do you oldies reckon?

Its def' true, it used to be very different, especially in Cornwall, here people of my age group have moved away as they cant afford to live here and so the population splits into fragments..........the older people, the young people with issues, the young people with money, middle aged and middle class, and then a few people like me........just trying to get by. Years ago before it became the in thing to move here/have a second home here everybody knew everybody else and actually cared, its really changed in the last 10-15 years or so. I dont begrudge people moving to Cornwall before anyone gets the wrong idea, I do have a problem with all the second homes but thats a whole other issue.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

Just nipping in to wish Everyone a Happy New Year.

I'm off to a local pub tonight as one of the new friends i made this year invited me out with her and her girlfriends. I only know two of them but i guess the others are friends i havent met yet. Am really looking forward to it.

For those that have read my posts in the past on the DFW board you'll know that last xmas eve and New years eve i was home alone feeling suicidal so this is a real breakthrough for me.

I have money in my pocket and friends that look out for me.:D

Have a fabulous time everyone...whatever you do.

    YAY 2006 is OVER!!!

Last night was great. Our cab even picked us up on time which meant we didnt have to stand outside in the rain.

I was VERY wobbly (dodgy vodka i think) and when i got out of the cab outside my flat i promptly fell backwards into a massive puddle!
Friends had to pick me up! lol

This morning my clothes are covered in mud and so was my hair and body. oops :rotfl:
