I'm ok thanks. Am moving back to my parents in less than 3 weeks and my brother STILL hasnt moved out. The list of excuses is getting amazing now. It is causing all kinds of hassle as if he's still there parents need to put stuff from box room in storage too.
I'm getting alittle stressed as my grandads garage where i was meant to be storing all my furniture has a terrible leak so its now changed to me storing boxes there and furniture in my parents garage. meaning dad has to put his MG on the drive which in turn means i have nowhere to park.....
oh dear. have to stop thinking about it as its getting me down. Parents are being great about it all but i feel like i am putting so much on them.
Other than that i'm ok. just ill witht his cold/virus.
Try to deal with one thing at a time CG, easier said than dne i know. You can always PM me if you want to talk or need some advice. I'm getting to be a pro on the money side of things
Everyone else ok?Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Hi everyone
I started this year thinking more positive and thinking this will be it for me! As the days go though I am not so sure. I want to be so positive but am beginning to see a half empty glass, why is that eh?
Without soundingtoo profound I'm sure a lot of it is living here as in UK my brother in law in NZ still has worries etc but not the same stresses, has anyone else found this or is it just wishful thinking?
I am so sorry that life is pants for lots of u - sending you big squishy hugs and as long as we hang on in there we will get through it.
love to all and great to see newies

Hi all,
Hope you are all well.
Just thought I would join in on this thread. Basic introduction I am a 24 year old Scot without too many local friends. Kind of been left behind so to speak as mates I have had in the past have moved in directions I did not want to go.
This year the New Year Resolution is to get a**e in gear and get out (in real and virtual world!!) and make friends and to get myself out of a mini slump I have been in so here I am. Eager and willing to contribute :-)D'Oh!0 -
Welcome Couttsy.
So what are you going to do to make new friends? You need a game plan. 9 times out of 10 people wont knock on your door lol

Hi CC,
Thanks for the welcome. Well first things first going to go and meet someone I actually 'met' (or more correctly they contacted me) on the Net and actually live where I do. So something may come of that. But this method is not going to work again - I live in quite a small remote place.
Then it is out to some other pubs that I do not go to and going to try and do this once a week hopefully. Also going to look to join new groups - even if it is sports groups in a different area to the ones I go to at the moment. Well that is the intentions anyway. That is the getting out there bit. But then again still people won't approach me and I need to start approaching people and that is the major problem I see. But one step at a time and all that.
Basically 2006 was not a good year me for reasons I will not bore you with. But kind of took stock at the end of the year and realised that I have very few friends - just a few online ones and that is about it. Realised I must start making an effort before I get any older. It must be easier to do these things when younger.D'Oh!0 -
Hi folks how are we all?
I signed up on a dating site the other day and have started to chat to a local guy.
Seeing it as a positive step forward and that I am about ready to bury 'it' figurativly speaking.
Mind you burying 'it' would sort out the finances. :rotfl:
We all need to see this year as a positive step forward in our lives and to keep the half full mind set.
PMA, positive mental attitude.
Love all
