It is so hard going from being one of a pair to just you.
Hang in there, I am, people keep saying it gets easier!!! When?
This weekend there is loads going on down here, Dickens week, Air show complete with red arrows. Traffic is a bl***y nightmare.
Doing things with just the little messies is not quite the same. They are not that little, so being seen out with mother is a bit of a no no.:rotfl:
Just finished work so trying to decide what to do with myself until my late shift tommorow.

I am going to type this last post for now and then get off my butt:rotfl:

Going to battle the traffic to get close to the bit of coast where the air show is.
Wish me luck!!!!
You are welcome to come anytime. Leave the messies, buy a beer. (crate from aldi (must save money) :money: and hit the beach.

Hi Shays_mum, thats ok, thanks for thinking of me.
Still haven't made work decision, have avoided phone calls to push me which isnt like me at all. Its a frying pan/fire situation that can have a health impact, I feel I want to turn around and walk away from it very quickly.
Have to face the music Monday and it wont be happy music, decision to be made today or tomorrow-???? Anyone know of any 'happy' jobs????
I live merseyside/cheshire so a little too far away it seems for meets - but i'm eating my pseudo verggie burger from the barbie with salad as I type.
Sending hugs to you all.A Fendi Baguette is not a sandwich.....

ok i just came across this, its a bit long, but it seems cool:
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Clapham_Park_Timebank/ A Time Bank enables people to help each other by exchanging time rather than money. It can be of particular benefit to those who feel socially excluded. Members can 'deposit' their time in the bank by helping others and 'withdraw' their time when they need someone to do something for them. For instance Brian helps Mrs Smith by collecting her prescription and he earns a time credit. In exchange, Julie updates Brian's C.V. and then Mrs Smith takes Julie dog for a walk. Each persons time is equally valuable. Time banks are being established in communities across the country, bringing people together and improving the quality of peoples lives. In a world where families are increasingly fragmented and traditional communities disappearing, they enable people from all backgrounds to come together, sharing their experiences and skills. People who might previously have felt isolated or marginalized in society, can begin to feel more involved with and valued by those living around them, increasing the sense of local community Contact Clapham Park Time Bank Contact Funmi Olowe and Roz McCarthy Address: 13a Mudie House Forster Road Clapham Park Estate London

How cool eh?!
Urban spirit, you have to do what you feel is right for you, if there is a health implication, then its not worth it. Without health, all the money in the world ain't gonna help!. Weigh it up, maybe if its not too personal, you can post here & maybe we can give you another perspective.....goodluck either way xx big hugs 2 y'all xx
Make mine a cool glass of red!No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
I think this was on the radio a while ago and it was really good. If I had a little more time I would do it. Perhaps I should rather than messing around on here!! But then I am trying to do my reports and need to be kept sane!!
Love to all,

hi all
I'm usually a lurker but have just read this thread and felt the need to write something.
I just wanted to say that I'm 32, I live in a little town called Ivybridge (near plymouth in Devon) and if any of you are local or passing (just off A38) feel free to pm/contact me.
I'm normal (in my opinion), friendly, honest and get on with every1. Oh yeah and I hate housework!!!!
I'm also usually free of kids every other weekend (complicated ex relationship) so like going out for a drink or 2 with my other half. Also I don't work so when my two boys (7 & 12) are at school I'm free to "do lunch" or coffee.
Although I have a small group of friends, I love meeting new people!
sending out hugs to all of you that need one!! :grouphug:0 -
Hi there - not read all the posts so hope I don't repeat anything here, but I know just how it feels to be lonely. I am a 53 yr old married woman who works full time, is a member of church with a busy life involving various meeting etc and I am still lonely!
All the things I go to are not 'me' things, mainly church business. I know lots of people at these places, but they are all married and have busy lives themselves. I think I must appear to be ok as I do get talked to but I rarely go out socially. I'm not sure how I would feel if I was invited out anyway as I've been conditioned to think that it shouldn't be necessary to go out without family unless it is someone that I (we) know from childhood! Plus I think that my OH would be very suspicious unless it was to a known club event ie church etc.
It's so sad really. I chat on here and I have made a good friend who I e-mail regularly but it's not the same is it, to be on your own 'talking' to someone online who you do not really know and it is still a bit of a lonely thing to do as there is no social interaction between you.
I hope I don't appear to be sad because I really am not that bad. I just need to kick myself in the pants to make more effort to get out socially.
Wannabe (any any other lonely people) I hope you find a friend who will make you less lonely whether it be online here or elsewhere."It is always the best policy to speak the truth-unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar." - Jerome K Jerome0
