Strangely i dont know what to say now. I have drunk well over bottle of wine but as yet feel okay. I 'Just' feel lonely - sometimes I go 3 or 4 days without a conversation. Reconiliation with my family isn't an option.
I have wondered about going to uni, but can a discharged bankrupt get student loans??0 -
If you're feeling low maybe you could look into putting yourself onto St Johns Wort: it's very effective for mild to moderate depression. I'm taking it and it's helping me0

Hi SkintbutSolvent - my best friend's niece and her hubbby went bankrupt twice but she's studying at the moment -all paid for so i think its possible. I'll post it up on the student board if you like?

I am not sure about the student loans situation - but I think you may well still be eligable - why not ask over on the student moneysaving board?
Any idea of what you may be interested in studying?0 -
Hi - Drinking can actually muck up your sleeping patterns - say if you were having a binge, it's the sugar.
Try restricting your alcohol intake to the weekends, cutting down & keep a diary of intake, sleep patterns.
Cleaning is okay - I did it for decades. If you feel that you are not being paid enough - try advertising for private work in folks houses at a set rate, but that's a lonely job. Could you get a social job at weekends, in the evenings, or do some voluntary stuff that would take you out - meet new people?
You feel isolated? You just have to get out there & make new connections.
If you like animals, try volunteering at a rescue centre, or even setting up a dog walking service.
Fancy doing a night class? A lot are starting up just now.
Cut out the sleeping tablets - really not good - you know that.
Do you want to move back to your home town?
If you love your job as you say, then that is the main thing - no one else should matter what you do.
But you are not happy & you do need to think why that is & then go about addressing what you need to do about it.
I would start cutting down on the drink & the pills - both depressents, and fill some of the gaps in your life by putting your energy into learning a new skill, expanding a hobby, just getting out & joining something - even a yoga class would maybe give you some tools to help you relax.
Don't wish to sound bossy, but do something that will get you out & about.

Goodnight for now. Hope you sleep well.
Oldernotwiser came back on the student loan query and says 'YES' - no credit checks etc.

Sleep well, and come back on and talk to us again - loads of us have been in similar situations, and people do understand...0
