  • I would love to have a cat, but not allowed as I am in 'digs'.

I a trying to be careful with the sleepers, have about 100 left and will try not to buy more. Its hard though, I have to admit I like how they make me feel, even (dare I say especially?) when I stay awake rather tha going to bed. I agree I need to see a new GP - mine wouldn't prescribe a short course of zopiclone or similar when I hadn't slept for weeks, which led to me buying them and its been a slippery slope ever since. I think the hardest thing is that you can't try a GP before registering, so you don't know how you will get o until its too late.
  • Nothing wrong with going BR. It takes a lot of guts and courage to do it :T

You are never alone on here and there will always be somone to listen :D

Hi Skintbutsolvent- that was good news last night about the the student loan. Even people on other threads are happy to offer help and advice (thanks to Oldernotwiser!!)
I think you should be so proud of yourself for dealing with BK and making a new start. Sometimes we get so wrapped up with coping and dealing wth things we forget who we are and what we actually like doing or want to acheive in life. If you could picture yourself doing anything what would it be? What would be your dream job? Where could you see yourself in 5 years time? I'm a great believer in having a 5 year plan - think where you would like to be and work back from there. Conveniently 5 years is enough time for that degree!!!
    One life.

    Hi skintbutsolvent

My advice really echos what's already been written but I didnt want to read and run. If your feeling low then the last thing you can want to do is go out and meet new people/strangers but its the best thing you can do. My mother has suffered heavily from depression this year and is now getting better but trying to encourage her to go and meet people is an up hill struggle, the fact that you are positive about the yoga classes is a massive step in the right direction.

And previous posters are quite right, there's always someone on here ready to lend an ear and help!
  • I'm not so busy today, less hours so less to occupy me...swings and roundabouts.

I have found a yoga class! I saw the flier and took down the number straight away and have just phoned the teacher. There are 2 classes a week - £6 each:eek: - so I will start with one and see how I get on, I suppose if I take to it, and am cutting down on the drink a bit, £12 a week for 2 classes isn't so bad?? Goodness, how I wish there was a proper gym where I live. People think they are expensive but at my old one I paid £55 a month and did about a dozen classes a week:rolleyes:

Feel sick today, maybe another sign I should cut back on the booze.

Thanks to you all for making me feel so welcome, I feel like I've suddenly made loads of new friends!:T

Thats great news, yoga is lovely, I used to go often before pregnancy and always came away feeling revigourated. £12 a week for giving you a bit more of a life, isnt bad at all, who knows, you might even make some new friends from it. Little steps.... :)
