I have used them before and find them honest and very efficient.


This time was no exception. Items sent on Monday at 4.30pm by special delivery. Got an email before noon on Tuesday informing me that the money had been paid into my account.


I actually got a lot more than I expected because a pair of earrings which I thought were 9 carat turned out to be 18 carat. :j


Will definitely use them again and will recommend them too.

Sent my broken jewellery in yesterday, got exactly what was quoted 165g gold & 85g silver received £1880 in my bank this morning - exceeded expectations & would highly recommend

Just used HGM for the first time. Sent Gold and Silver off just before 5pm yesterday special delivery, OMG received money in the bank by 12midday today and received exactly the amount I was quoted. Wow absolutely spot on, couldn't be more chuffed. Highly recommend. Also means my scales are great too lol.:beer:

I visited Hatton Garden Metals in person yesterday as I was a bit nervous about sending the items in the post. I looked on their website for prices which were around 25% better than the best price offered locally and decided it was worth the train ticket for a day out in London. I arrived there early afternoon and although it was clearly popular I didn't have to wait long to be seen. Their representatives were very friendly and courteous. The items were assessed in front of me and I was given a running total of the value. At the end the funds were transferred to my bank account directly (I could have had a cheque or probably cash but I didn't want to carry £1600 with me). I was given a complete list of weights and rates for the gold and silver and the money was in my account within 2 hours. Overall it was a very good experience I received something like 28% more than my best offer locally.

I sent some gold jewellery mostly 18 carat ( 2 rings & a necklace) to Hatton Garden Metals last Thursday. A total of nearly 40 gms. I used the on line calculator and was offered just £10 less the next day as one of the items was 14 ct and not 18 ct as I thought, which was fair enough. I accepted and the money was in my bank account by lunchtime. I sent the items via special delivery via the post office and paid about £1.50 extra to raise the insurance level to £900. They are a very honest and efficient company and you get exactly the amount as advertised on their web site for that metal type & carat weight and as displayed the day your jewellery is received.

I would most definitely use them again and recommend them highly. More so than one of the postal gold services recommended by the One Show. I sent them the gold necklace originally and they offered me nearly £175 less than whatI was paid by Hatton Garden Metal. Only after saying to return it did they increase their offer. I could not be bothered with them then so has my necklace returned. Anyway final offer was still less than HGM.

So moral of this review is watch out for the cowboys and stick to your metal- Hatton Garden Metal.

I found Hatton Garden Metals on here when I was looking to sell some old broken necklaces. As it had such good reviews, I decided to give it a go. I weighed the gold on my kitchen scales and it weighed around 20g. I got an online estimate of just over £234 which seemed very generous compared to local jewellers, therefore I followed the instructions, printed out the email and posted it Special Delivery which insured up to £500. It was a mix of broken necklaces, a broken ring, a misshaped bangle and a few odd earrings. The next day, I received an email from them, saying I had been paid but my amount was different from the quote due to two of the earrings not being gold and the weight being different. I got just under £370! My scales were out and there was actually 27g of 9 carat gold and 2g of 18 carat. I was impressed by the honesty and the speed of the transaction. I have more gold chains etc, which I no longer wear and will be definitely sending them off to HGM.

Really impressed - I got a quote for some gold dental crowns based on 9 carat which was a much better rate than high street d alerts s. they actually paid out on 14 carat using my weight estimate. Mum bet inbank already. Got 4 times the amount I would have got from a shop. Would definitely recommend.

Used HGM after reading reviews on here, very quick and efficient service and I got more than I thought I would and money in the bank same day they received my items. Quick and easy to use service, I would use them again without hesitation.
