Halton Garden Metals gave the best price I did send gold originally to London Gold Refinery but there offer was not good. HGM gave me 282 compared to 174 from LGR. The process was efficient and no hassle. You do have to pay to send the gold to HGM but that's ok as they pay more per g anyway.
Would recommend, now have some spending money for my holiday in the spring

Sent 1, 18ct 12gram ring Tuesday and received exactly the quoted price paid into my bank Wednesday afternoon of £213.86.

I'd highly recommend Hatton Garden Metals. Highly efficient, honest and transparent transaction.

Sent the gold lunchtime using royal mail special delivery with insurance. the next morning I received acknowledgment that they have received it.

A couple of hours later then sent another email asking that actual weight is about 1.5% lower than I had indicated and one of the many items I sent (about 1% of the total) was in fact 9ct rather than 18ct. Everything else was exactly as I expected.

A couple of hours after I agreed with the corrections, all the money was in the bank. They really do pay around 95% of market value as determined by London gold fix, which I think is also pretty good.

I am going to London later on in the year. I was thinking of going to HGM in person with my gold. Can anyone tell me whether this is possible?

I have just used this company for the second time and would recommend them to anyone.
I got a fast speedy professional service. The money was in my bank account the day they received my gold and a query regarding the weight was dealt with speedily.

hi folks, trying to stoke up this forum a bit about cash for gold, and seek out to define the smaller players better. Hatton Garden Metals are too big to be the most competitive on price, and make too many mistakes Take a look over at the Praise/Vent threads and put in your two cents and help the community out.

Joined Forums specifically to say how delighted I am with the service I received from this company. I have just made several hundred pounds on gold jewellery I bought years ago and never wore, but even better, received payment in my account the day Hatton Garden Metals received my items! I only had to email them to agree with the weight they gave me which was slightly less than what I had come up with on my kitchen scales and the cash was in my account an hour or two later. Fabulous service!

I used Hatton Garden Metal a few days ago and found them excellent, the rate they quoted was much better than local jewelers, I posted the items away on Thursday lunch time special delivery as instructed and got a confirmation email from them on Friday morning and payment into my account 1 hour later. I would have no hesitation in recomending them.
