Great service and instant payment.
They called up to check if they could go ahead -which i thought was nice.

I have been caught out by the "London Gold Refinery" who are actually based in Manchester through P.O.Box 5246 Manchester M610HT. The scrap 9 Ct gold I had was valued on their site at 495.44. They send out Special Delivery sack pre paid and seemed all proper and stated would reply in 24 hours, so I sent out my bits and pieces. They didn't reply within their objective timescale....it took longer. I received a 'phone call the following evening and was offered 222 Pounds. I Declined. Later that night received an E.Mail offering 299 Pounds from a "Manager". I declined.
Their glossy brochure indicates that Gold will be returned "Free of Charge with Insurance at no extra cost." I had to pay 26 Pounds to have my Gold returned with insured Service Special Delivery. This has far more than covered their initial pre paid envelope sent out to me 6.22, and the cost of returns which is the same at 6.22. A total of 12.44. Means they make a minimum of 13.56 for posting a small package.
Paid by BACS and have had neither cofirmation nor Gold returned.
Sharp operators but probably skirting the edges of legality but morally bankrupt.
I have notified the CAB, Trading Standards and Manchester Police Fraud Investigation. IN MY OPINION PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I wish I had done more research...they are in a win win win situation. There is no "Free" Service. I know, IF IT SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE ETC ETC ETC. Thankyou for reading this. D.Seat.

Did you ever check out the reviews on this company? The internet is literally littered with reviews detailing exactly what you have experienced. Just google "london gold refinery reviews" Use a company with a good online reputation. There are a few out there

I don’t normally feel compelled to do prompted feedback, but HGM's deserve it for their excellent service...

• When did you use it? 26/11/13
• What did you send it? 23ct Gold chain
• How much did it promise you? £437
• How much did it deliver? £451.50
• How efficient was the service? Brilliant - in my account by 11.00 next day
• If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason? Paid me slightly more!
• Anything else other people should know? Why go elsewhere

Used the service on 14 December 2013 by Royal Mail registered. Response by email confirming the reception of my scrap gold and price by 16 December. The weight was almost 100% the same as mine and I was happy with the price. Today is 21 December and I still have not received the payment cheque sent allegedly on 16 December.
I would like to add that Royal mail delivers post to me every day and I have received letters this week posted abroad on 16 Dec. !!
Very unhappy and worried.

Have you phoned/emailed Hatton Garden Metals to give them a chance to stop the "stolen" cheque?
Why did you request a cheque, especially at this time of year ?

Posted a parcel yesterday at 4pm. Got a payment into my bank today at 3.30. Excellent service. I would use them again if I had any more gold to sell!
