I also ordered mine on Monday morning but with 'priority delivery'
I was just contacted by DHL to say that delivery would be tomorrow (Thurs). Priority!!!
Anyway, I contacted Navman CS and told them that I was not happy paying extra for a 'priority service', and without having to 'pleed my case' they agreed to refund the postage which in total comes to £6.77.
Fantastic backup from Navman and total price now comes out at £183.06.
Just hope I don't need to send it back!
Cheers
Chris
I'm Puzzelled - how does it work out to 183.06 ?? - that's nearly 1.53 Euros to the pound - where do you get your Euros?0 -

Whilst i cant comment for cetlicprince - my transaction worked out at £184.57 for each of the Navman's i purchased. This was achieved using my Nationwide credit card :-)
As i said earlier i would give some feedback on the one i had delivered today. Iv'e only been able to try it out for a very limited time today & i found it very easy to use but i intend sittin down reading the booklet later tonight to get the most out of it.
Im still not sure about the downloading of the various software options as of yet - speed cameras, etc.
Im very inpressed with the readout & info as im driving along with it.
Hope this helps someone in some small way

I can't tell you how it was worked out and agree that the exchange rate is fantastic! I think it was their mistake to be honest.
It had nothing to do with the specific card used as the 'price to pay in pounds' was on the screen before confirming the order. Usually, with a purchase in another currency I have to wait for my statement to see what rate was applied. With VISA it normally works out at the current exchange rate plus 2.5%.
Anyway, I requested a Euros price, which was 279, added express delivery and the next screen gave me a choice of pounds, euros or dollars. I chose £189.83 and confirmed.
Then after the delivery problem (it still has not arrived) I received £6.77 refund which is more than Navman added for express delivery!
I can only assume that I had the entire postage charge refunded.
There you have it, £183.06 with express delivery and it still has not arrived even though standard Royal Mail delivery would have!!
Cheers

3card, see my earlier post and download the software update as it is supposed to 'sort' some issues.
Also, try the forum at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com which seems really helpful and has a section for the Navman 5 series.
Cheers

Can anyone help? Im sure that I saw a link yesterday which was on the Navman website with the price of £209.00.
It was in the Discount Code forums and said the offer was until the end of June. The post seems to have disappeared?0 -

Mine arrived yesterday and I am well impressed!
Got a sat fix almost immediately and the features are really good as is the quality.
BTW, to anyone who has, or is about to download the software update from the Navman website, there is a bug in it that removes the choices for language and voice selection.
Good news though, there is a simple fix which involves copying some .dat sound files and pasting them in another folder. Very easy and Navman Tech dept will run you through it.
I have found the update to be worth doing, even though it has a small fixable bug.
Details of fix for anyone who wants to do it themselves are:
Connect Navman to your PC with USB cable and switch on (must have already installed all software and update)
Navigate to:
C: Program Files\Navman\Smart ST Dektop For ICN530\iCNBIN\Sound
Highlight and Copy all .dat files in this folder and close.
Next:
My Computer- Mobile Device\My FlashDisk\ Navman\Lightning\Navman\Sound
Paste all previously copied .dat files into this 'Sound' Folder
This will take a few minutes and if MS ActiveSync opens just 'OK' it.
When the files have been copied to this folder, take the usb cable out of the 530 which will then reboot. You should now have the sound/language options again.
Hope that helps
Cheers
