yes but think I'll stick with a tom tom after the various comments, might be pricey but it comes with a cradle for the bike a screen that turns the icons into larger easy to read print and is meant to ok to operate with gloves on. was just interested to see if anyone had experience of one on the bike for sound quality etc

I still couldn't do it so I rang Navman Tech

The very helpful lady had a little laugh and explained that there are no 'louder' voices, all are original.

Apparently, Navman are aware of a Tech problem in that some users language files can be deleted after downloading from the www.pocketgpsworld.com website.I would guess for Camera downloads

Anyway, she told me that when these users then 'update' the original language files are restored. Hence the reason that I could not download these files as I have already got them!

She added that Navman will be releasing SP2 sometime around October this year and amongst other things this will include louder voices.


"Lucky have you managed to downloaded the new sound files and are they louder or am I going mad?"


Don't really want to answer that one showman36, but if you can hear it more clearly then that's all that matters!

BTW, do you hear the voice with the Navman switched off, and does it only offer directions?:D

What mount have you got - mine does not go anywhere near the speaker - there is at least 5mm clear space between the side of the mount and speaker holes - are they shipping these with diffrent mounts?
