Happy valentines day everyone!!
I have been naughty and regressed a few months in terms of my determination. I was convinced I had been spending the wedding fund out of the joint account and instead of facing up to it i slipped into denial. And so, I didnt sleep well lastnight and I've been feeling anxious.
We all know the feeling?? Well I woke up today and realised thats not who I am anymore so logged on and faced the account! And actually while it seems I have dipped into it a little, there's still enough money for the wedding and it wasn't half as bad as I had started to imagine.
I'm going to just go to the cake lady etc and ask to pay things now rather than later down the line. I know I need to learn to not spend it just because it's there but I'm a work in progress!
People's sigs look amazing! Everyone's done so well

I am up to £2750 for the wedding so thats an extra 10% that ive saved in february. Got a cheque from a bond sent to me which helped though. Not sure there will be much more this month as the road tax is due and the car needs servicing too.
In total though i have saved/paid off £3365.27 (33.7%).MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0 -
Happy Valentines Day all!
Have just been having a read through all the threads since I last posted. I can't believe how quickly everyone is progressing and how much has been going on!
tlc123 Hope you are getting on better now that you know it's Crohns. My friend suffers with it and it's a lot of medication! Good luck.
shadydaz Seems you've been busy! How's your wife now after the attack? Did you get any further in sorting out the dodgy garage?
amatheya81 Keep us up to date with your results. Hope it's all ok and your boss is more understanding knowing you weren't faking after all!
For everyone else, keep it up. The totals you all put in continue to be an inspiration though I doubt I'll ever do as well!
We've made a couple of payments (one being £400 to inlaws - at last!!) so will update sig but have also made some savings as this week we cashed some gold for £351 so put that into savings instead as we'd really like to have a honeymoon having got married last Oct.
I've also taken on a child for 1:1 tuition which is £25 an hour once a week so that should make some inroads into things.
It's half term this week so got be good and not spend loads of money! Will be on lots to keep me busy instead. Have a good week all. xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

I havent even began my savings, no debts, have about 3.5k saved but was trying to save as much as poss to move out of parents/get a car in the future
Things havent gone to plan, my Disability Benefit ended in Jan, so appealing that, and as im no longer on DLA my tax credits stopped too! so my only income is my part time wages 15 hrs a week
Still have rent to pay £100, Phone £35, Car Insurance £30 and other bills to pay too! so prob spending more than im earning at the moment.
Trying not to feel to negative, hopefully win my appeal (sending letter off tomorrow - but can take weeks and weeks to hear from them)
But if im awarded it again will get backdated so will all go towards my savings - plus get tax credits back (dont know if they will backdate that)Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700 -
I was doing really well this month and had some spare cash in the bank ready to pay off more at the end of the month that was until my Dad called on Friday night.
He offered me a spare ticket to the Wales / Scotland game in Cardiff which I just couldn't turn down. Therefore I have had a very expensive weekend as I had to get there, pay my Dad for the ticket, drink a bit, then drink some more to celebrate Wales winning! After all that I then had to find my way home!
Ah well, at least it was the spare money so I haven't really gone backwards and I had a fab weekend! Will just have to try harder now.LBM January 2010 Debt £22,239.51 Mortgage £120,99910K in 2010 = £1520.48 15.2% LOAN = £11,819.92 / £1055.35CC1 = £940.57 / £67.06 CC2 = £2994.71 / £156.43CC3 = £3494.00 / £239.93 CC4= £2678.00 / £159.00 Mortgage = £120,999.00 / £0.00 [STRIKE]O/D = £126.81[/STRIKE]Total = £143,238.51:eek: / £1520.48 :j= £141,805.35 1.06%0 -
I think that's totally justified!
Fayei, welcome along! Of course you can join. Shadydaz will give you a number when he comes on.
Well got my biopsy results today and it is def Crohn's. Treatment's already started so he's hoping to have me sorted (well, in remission anyway) by the wedding in May.
Although, me and my fiacee broke our bed lastnight! I'd love to say in was in the throes of valentine's passion but it wasn't! So we now need a new bedframe. And our mattress is really old and in fact second hand (not ideal we know but when times are hard you do what you need to) so hoping to get a deal with both. We do have a bit of contingency so i guess if it was going to happen now's the best time!
