  • Thanks for the well wishes guys! I could jump for joy with that albatross being gone!

We've got one more payment on OH's card in the UK and then we will be credit card free!

Debt repayments will slow down after that, though - we need an emergency fund for rent due to work uncertainty - the remainder of the debt is US student loans and an evil consolidation loan, which doesn't release funds if we overpay. We've got the credit cards for a cushion now, but I'd SO rather not put anything back on them!

  • They say things come in three's and this month, the PC, washing machine and boiler all went at once... had to pay lots out, so although I'm trying my hardest, updating my signature is not fun at the moment. I only get the pleasure of updating it once a month anyway as the bills and payments all come out in one go.

However, reading all your comments is truly inspirational - and focusing on paying as much debt off as possible can only be a good thing - even if ive had to spend some too this month..

    £158 off HSBC loan today
    Debt £26k 18/10/14
  • Another 153 off today.

    New total 4,471/10,000.

I'll hit the halfway point by the end of the month! Things will sadly probably slow down from there, but it's been a wild couple of months!
