I think there has been lot's of info given on this thread, and other sources quoted, to enable ppl do their own research, and not always want to be spoon-fed the relevant info. :rolleyes2

Does anybody know if the Neteller virtual card is now working with Ryanair as well as their physical card?

I used travelex Visa Electron pre-paid card last week on Rynair and didnt get charged!
  • I have a Travelex Visa Electron Cash Passport for Ryanair.

They will be changing to pre-paid MasterCard, though I dont know what charges etc will be involved.

If you have an exisiting Visa, I'd imagine you can swap it to a MasterCard when it's available.

  • I did a local bank transfer from my HSBC current account yesterday. It took about 4 hours so I'm happy so far.

Hi - my wife got a Fairfx card but Ryanair doesn't seem to accept it, is it because it is loaded with sterling should it be Euros ? - Best Roger

Ryanair seem to be at it again, so I don`t think it`s anything to do with your card being in sterling,as recommended on this site.

Thanks for that 2010 ... 'payment's been declined' was the message we were getting but on further digging it appears our latest top-up onto the fairfx card maybe hadn't gone through (it's not left her bank yet anyway - so that may be the reason), I'll post back when I know more (probably leave it until Monday now). I`ve been back to the site and it`s taking my FairFX mastercard prepaid OK now.
It could have been a glitch earlier as my PC seemed to "freeze" on the secure booking page, but FX MP (sterling)is working fine now.
