Halifax reward current account

The Halifax online offering is far superior to First Direct. I have used most of the online banks over the last few years and changed to FD from Halifax at the start of the year. The Online facility at First Direct is the main reason why I am considering going back to Halifax. :cool:0 -
I have both Halifax and FD.
Both are good not much between them in my opinion.
Halifax may have a few more features but still only allows £1k max faster payments whereas FD allows the full £10k.0 -

I simply rotate £1,000 from A>B>C and back again to earn £15 per month.
So it counts if it comes from other Reward accounts? I wasn't sure about this, as I've been getting my fiver from TFs Natwest>Halifax, just leaving it in the Reward overnight then sending it back.
If it's between two or three Reward accounts do you still have to leave the £1k in each one overnight, or can you do the A>B>C all in one day?~cottager0 -

I did that all the time. BUT this month I got caught by that. They sent me a letter caliming that I used their unarranged overdraft, and would charge me £5 next month. Already sent them a complaint letter. So...a bit of warning...0 -

Was that because they were done as standing orders (in which case they could go out of sequence) or done manually via the online banking "quick transfer" (in which case you have full control on the sequence)?
I've never had a problem doing it manually.
Oh, and how on earth did they allow the transaction to proceed anyway if it would cause an unauthorised overdraft? I guess you asked them that!!0
