Some news about 3 days ago....

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Would have thought it was the other way round??
Not good for both sides(drivers).

I saw this too, good news allround then!!
For anyone bored or interested enough to read it, here's a link to a news item about the buyout - http://www.e-couriernews.co.uk/content/view/1516/1/
It's worth remembering though, that DHL (UK) is loss-making (as are HDNL), so it could be that DHL have paid HDNL to take the business off their hands. However the deal was done, it greatly increases HDNL's market share and means that they will now be taking on a lot of B2B (Business to buisness) traffic as well as the B2C (business to customer) that they currently have.
Good luck to HDNL and all that use them!0 -
Again I've just had issues with them...
Arranged the delivery for today when I spoke to someone from HDNL last week - called them this morning to check on it - only to have a very rude man on the phone state it won't be coming today after all... it's beginning to get rather silly, and very annoying indeed.
Edit: @Forris - thank you!
I'll be contacting them today in regards to this too - hoping I can get this sorted out as so much time has been wasted over this.0 -
I've emailed TS in regards to this & hoping something will come of it...
Will keep you posted.0 -
They really are ridiculous, are'nt they? I gave up on my order from play.com and re-ordered from toys-r-us....this arrived today, just a few days after ordering. Guess who delivered it? DHL....haha. Oh dear.0

Large item worth £ 100 shipped by play.com on 27/12. HDNL tracking still only shows "parcel data received" and play have not replied to my telephone query. Result: I just cancelled the order and have asked for a refund, giving them a piece of my mind in the process.
You have to vote with your feet or you will forever suffer shoddy service.0 -
I had an HDN driver call today
I had booked a parcel collection last Tues but due to weather today was the first day they could collect
He also dropped off an Amazon one we were waiting for
He came from a depot 20 miles away which surprised me as we live in a large town and I thought it may have a depot of its own, but he is our regular driver and seems very accomodating and chatty
I get parcels often and have never had a problem with this company
I'm glad iv'e never had a parcel thrown over my fence we often order PC components etc.. that would not take being thrown
I guess it's just luck of the draw"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -

Not quite sure how HDNL's tracking system works but that sounds to me as if the parcel has not yet been collected from Play. With the volume of parcels that Play send, HDNL will have a dedicated trailer running straight to their sort centre. The fact that there has not been a scan at any point in HDNL's network suggests that the parcel is still with Play.0 -
I agree that the fault on this occasion is probably with play.
However, I am also still waiting for a delivery from Bargaincrazy allegedly shipped on 22/12! I e-mailed them but got just a standard bad-weather-delay-bla-blah-blah reply. E-mailed again for a tracking no., but no reply so far.0 -
Just tracked my order (again) - it would appear that it's on a van now.
Just hope it arrives after all this... I ad to make a complaint to them after the rude coversation I had with someone from customer services... not nice really.0
