I would just like to say that reading this thread I was waiting for my Amazon delivery with trepidation but everything went smoothly. Website said out for delivery today & received this morning from a lovely HDNL driver.0

Which they did - I got home from work at 10.45pm on Monday to find the parcels neatly stacked ON MY DOORSTEP!!! :mad:I do have a tendency to talk about utter nonsense at the weirdest of times :rotfl:Happily Crafting away in my Fortress of Solitude (Bedroom

Here's a good one for you all ... Waited in every second of today for 3 parcels to be collected by HDNL from me, and delivered elsewhere. No one arrived (maybe the weather?), no phone call when they have my number.
However, here's the best part. Just tried putting in the three tracking numbers on their site. ALL show as being collected at completely different times, either today or even YESTERDAY AT 0.08 and having been received in their Leeds depot! I can assure everyone here that I have checked, double checked and even checked again, but they are definately STILL sitting on my kitchen floor. :rolleyes:I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.0 -
bear in mind that with the tracking systems you often need to 'close' the track
so if the driver cant make the delivery/collection for whatever reason then they will close the track
so dont always get hung up on whats stated on the track
i am generalising on track systems and not HDNL as such0 -
HDNL and Play have both got right on my manboobs over xmas. First saying item was delivered, which it was'nt, then ordering a replacement from Play.com...then finding out the item is now out of stock for the next 2 weeks. I've waited almost a month for an item that should have been with me within a few days. Utterly useless, the pair of them. The lady from HDNL customer service (Elaine Boyle) has been great though. The only helpful person from either company! I have now got a refund coming and have re-ordered from Toys R Us...a company that delivered one of my xmas prezzies in a crushed box. Seems like you can't fully trust anyone these days....:mad:0

I'm having a slight nightmare with HDNL & Topshop at the moment. The order was placed with them and the delivery was expected on Tuesday - it arrived on Monday, so no one was home to receive it. Called HDNL who re-arranged for Tuesday... nothing turned up. Called them on Tues when I got home from work (after someone stayed in for the delivery) - was told it would be re-arranged for Weds... nothing. Called again on Weds afternoon & was told Thurs & if it couldn't be delivered, I'd be called 1st thing - no call so far - as of 4th Jan, the item has still been in the depot!
Called them today & they said "possibly tomorrow"... I'm quite annoyed by this, especially knowing that the item hasn't even been touched since the 4th. Am I better to contact Topshop about this, bearing in mind what Forris has said about who the contract is with? I feel a bit robbed paying the delivery charge, and the dates not being correct & still having no items0 -
They should give you the delivery charge back after all this!0

I'm pondering writing a letter of complaint - it's been a shocking service, and realising that the item has been sat in the depot since Monday evening and no action has been taken on it at all just makes me rather cross...0

Tatequeen - you asked if you should contact Topshop about your parcel, and I would say YES!
As it stands, Topshop have no idea about the service you have had from their courier. If they checked on the tracking they would assume that the parcel has been attempted on the correct day and is awaiting a redelivery. This would look like the courier has fulfilled their contract so far, so no problems!
As I always say - deal with the retailer (unless you're just arranging a redelivery), its their job to ensure that you get your goods.
NB -To anyone waiting for parcels at the moment, I would just like to state the obvious and remind everyone that the bad weather is causing major problems for all delivery companies, and for people to be patient. If the parcel is urgent (and I mean things like medical supplies, not birthday presents) then call the sender and ask them to enquire for you, but apart from that you just have to be content that you will get your parcel eventually.
One guy came to the depot this afternoon to get his parcel and wasn't happy that his parcel had not been delivered, as he had managed to get to the depot ok. If I had been on the desk, I would have been very tempted to give him 50 other parcels and ask him to deliver them on his way home, and let us know if he gets home before midnight! Some people think that they are the only person waiting for a parcel!0 -
The only problem (if you would even call it that!) is that the same HDN driver always comes to mine, and he always begins speaking the second I've began turning the key in the door and by the time I've opened it he's finished and I've missed what he said!Male.
