I have to say save even more on the price of a PS3. Get an XBOX360. I am well impressed with it and the fact you are able to stream tv music etc. from your computer is really cool.
I used to have a video recorder, a dvd player and a Digibox under my tele. Now I just have the XBOX360.
oh and for all you Grand theft auto fans. I believe Microsoft has signed an Exclusive contract with Rockstar Games to develop GTA4 solely for the XBOX!!!!"A goldfish left Lincoln logs in me sock drawer!"

The cheap version contains a 20gb hard drive and less features than the premium version which comes with a 60gb hard drive so they are trying to get people to spend more money purchasing the more expensive version
I think a Sony exec confirmed reports that came out of the UK retail industry that that UK will only have 1 version, the more expensive one, which will be priced at £425, we wont see the cheaper version over here (although that may not be a bad thing considering what was actually lost by choosing the cheap option).oh and for all you Grand theft auto fans. Only 'episodic' content, which is literally downloadable content through Xbox Live - GTA4 will be available for both the Xbox360 and PS3.
For all we know though, Rockstar could be thinking they could have difficulty including the data on the X360 DVD discs, whereas that content may already be on the much larger capacity of the bluray disc - only time will tell with regards to what that episodic content is (and its a long wait! towards the end of 2007)0 -

Let's not even mention a recent game like Elder Scrolls 4 here, just for simple everyday use you will find it to be slow. That was possibly THE top end PC of the time so it's extremely doubtful ANY PC will last 4-5 years.
I'm using a slower PC than that!0 -

According to some retailers that is not the case in the UK although I think Sony have still to confirm officially whether or not the UK will get the cut down version. It's worth noting however that unlike the XBox 360 core and premium packs, the PS3 "core" pack cannot be upgraded fully to the PS3 "premium" pack.0 -
Heres a little bit of info....
Apparently Microsoft are gearing thier new Windows Vista to be XBOX 360 Live compatible. They are also making all thier XBOX accessories Vista compliant so If you hang off and by a new PC with Windows Vista you are in effect getting an XBOX 360 built in to it and you can play online with people who have XBOX 360's.

I was nearly going to sell my PS2 in the next few weeks to start saving for the PS3, but at that price, I'm not going to bother. I'll stick with the PS2 and maybe get a 360 when GTA 4 comes out.0

And another interesting article on the Cell processor (one of the reasons why were paying so much for the console);

If you can't be bothered reading, it pretty much says the Cell processor isnt very good...0 -
If you're serious about buying a PS3, take a look at this article...
PS3 pre order strategy
I'm a bit dissapointed to see retailers doing bundle only pre orders, hopefully there will be some console only deals soon.0
