Assuming you live in Nottinghamshire, yes it is pretty normal! You could call the JCP to check that there are no problems (as you are still getting paid, there shouldn't be), but I know the delays are pretty bad at the moment.Gone ... or have I?0

blimey 5 months or more to get a decision, how long will the appeal take if i get turned down (concerned at this due to all the threads i have read about people getting turned down)0 -
My husband's took over a year to be decided from filling in his ib50 to having a medical and then the final result. He was not turned down.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I'm not sure how long appeals are taking at the moment, but if it does go to hearing I would expect it to be a good few months.
As difficult as I know it is, I would try not to think about the result until you hear something. I would also bear in mind that people rarely post to say that they have had a positive result, so the amount of posts on the subject are not necessarily reflective of the true picture.
Give the processing centre a call (the number should be on a letter), they will have no problem updating you on any progress ... as long as you don't start calling everyday!

If the worst happens, post again and we'll help you with what to do next. I'll still be here at Christmas (unless I'm banned by then
) ... I'll probably be on here whilst eating my Christmas dinner!

your not going to believe this, but finally got decision toay, failed it, anyone know what my options are now??
got 0 points, they have said they made a decision based on my medical assesment and a questionaire that i filled in. (funny that, i never filled in a questionaire >:( )0 -
I'm sorry to hear that nottinghamshirelad.
Did you never receive the ESA50 form? Do you know if they requested reports from your GP, specialist etc? I am assuming you didn't have chance to submit them yourself if they did not send you an ESA50?
There is information on how to ask for a reconsideration/ appeal here. I would hope that once they realise you have not even completed an ESA50 they will at least give you chance to do this!
Could I ask what your health condition is? You don't have to tell us, but sometimes it helps us to guide you to the right help.
