Yes and yes , there is someone and I do miss him, it makes Christmas very difficult as its my daughters partner of 23yrs, so she has to come visit us with the kids and leave him at home , his choice but it makes life difficult for everyone and the kids think we are behaving like children and they are probably right... but ..... well its a very long story........#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Wow ... do families really fall out to that extent???
Seriously - I don't think we've "fallen out" with anyone in our family ever! Well, there was a very distant relative who was convicted of child abuse years ago and no-one even knows where she is now . But arguements etc. no - lifes too short to fall out permenently!0 -

Fallen out with sister. No contact for 20 years but sort of amicable as neither of us wish to contact each other!!
Sad for some elderly folks on their own, had an 83 year old crying in my arms last night over a falling out with her sons partner. Its her only son and she will be lonely this Christmas. Says she wants to die...
If there's a problem and one wants to resolve it, then try, try, try to reach an amicable agreement. Particularly remember the grandparents. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I was majorly annoyed with my MIL a few years back (she made some horrid comments about me, and I overheard) but I would never stop her seeing her grandkids.
Everything is sorted now btw, and we have been fine since then. My nanna died 9years ago 6months later he had moved in with someone and with in a year married. we put up with HER(the nicest i can be) but she always took him away over xmas and birthday fathers day etc. well last year my and OH decided to have a baby and because we was married they dissaproved and we not heard from him since. we send cards on all the occasions and he is missining out on his great grandson (who is awesome) also he has stopped talking to my aunt(his only daughter who has 2 young boys) all because of this! he is so out of order im so upset with him.. so thinking about it no i wont miss him but feel sorry for him as he will be missing out on a fab family xmas! rant over!0

Does anyone have any family they wont be seeing as they have fallen out arent speaking? Will you miss them or not? Will they miss you?
This is the first xmas we WONT be going to MIL's on boxing day - I wont miss her, neither with OH and DD, im taking GREAT pleasure in knowing she will be missing us (but then, im a cow)
She started the arguement, she's said OH and DD are welcome "anytime but dont think for one minute 'SHES's coming" (Meaning me!)
