i get sad when i hear of other families getting together and having a lovely christmas and the kids being surrounded by family and know that it isn't going to be like that for us.:o

My sister and I didn't speak for 10 years. Our children missed out on having cousins around. This year is the first Christmas in 11 years where we are speaking, and not only that, but we are friends again.
Life is too short. And you only get a limited time with those you love.
Make amends if possible this Christmas xx

No sorry i dont, Christmas is supposed to be a time of cheer and and thats why would you wouldnt want to think about people that have made you sad etc, i want to think of being around those i love and care about and them that care about you back , i dont think you should make up just coz its Chrimbo, you have all year all the to make amends if any amends were to be made

dont miss the siblings but there are 2 kids missing out!

This is the first christmas I won't be speaking to my Dad and i think it will feel weird but it is his choice and he won't be seeing his grandkids either. Also because of him I won't be able to see my grandma and grandad (he lives with them) this xmas so all in all very sad.

We don't speak to MrS's Mum, Brothers and one of his sisters and their associated families. We don't have kids so maybe it's easier for us but I certainly don;t miss them one bit.

I couldn't imagine not talking to my family over xmas... but i just wanted to say to Tinka that although it is sad that you won't be seeing some of your family, you can still enjoy family time with your own kids, just make it an extra special one for them

In honesty no, the whole family fell out with one sister about ten years ago, it took 5years before i persuaded her and certain family members to start talking, but then my other sister got annoyed and began to behave like an idiot about the reuniting with sister 1, so now she and I don't talk, and oddly life has never been better! She's incredibly bitter and I don't want to be!

My sister seems intent on falling out with everyone and distancing herself from the family. I am sick of it all tbh so won't miss having to walk on eggshells around her. Will miss my niece and nephew though

Thankfully have other siblings and lots of family members who do care so will still be a happy christmas
