Thanks all, I tend to do well and only have a slip every few months. Not too bad considering. I am really happy that I still live at home and can throw a huge mojority of my wages at my debt each month. If I was living alone/house shared I know that would never happen :(

So its the end of the week, the 64 day challenge and 6 week challenge. Both went really well, the only slip up I had were the thortons choc and the momiji doll, but both of whcih were cleared on payday. That means I completed both challeneges. Below is the run down I do each week, I have decided for the £1 a day challenge each week I wont be posting my spends. Instead on the 14th of next month I will post the whole thing :D

    9th ~ £5.00 debt
10th ~ £5.00 debt + £21.19 place in Credit card account for Pay pal purchases (socks/bag)
    11th ~ £1.50 debt
12th ~ £2.00 debt, ( £10 money already accounted for on 64 day challenge £1.58 2* boxes of tea, £2.00 sealed tin, £4.00 bike savings)
    13th ~ £2.00 debt
    14th ~ £4.00 debt
15th ~ nsd (except large debt payments)
    16th ~ nsd
    17th ~ nsd

    Week 6 ~
    * Pay at least another £100 off my debt ~ £235.64 - Total £362.00 :j Huge amount payed off, much more than I expected and I am really happy
    * Keep up the spending diary All week ~ 6/6 I think I am firmly back on the spending diary wagon. Even some of the things I bought in the last 6 weeks are borderline. This next challege will help combat that
    * Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday) ~ £20/£5 - Total £59.91/£30 Ok I managed to keep up with this just. went way over budget though but I guess in the whole scheme its not too bad. The things that did it really was the need for a new bag and thermal socks. Both unfortuanatly had to be bought. Thats life thongh... :D
    * Exercise at least 3 times a week ~ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday 6/6 :T
    * Read at least 2 books ~ One done, Two done, Three done :j Finished my third on friday, I still have 23 to go though
    * Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight ~ S.M.T.W.T.F.S 6/6 This is slipping again though, I am hoping now I am back to work it will be back to normal

So thats me just now. Credits and debits are still coming out of my creditcard account so I dont know the exact amount just yet, but I predict it will be about £140. However Mum still has to give me £54.00 towards it and I need to transfer the £12.99 race money into the account so really its something like £90

On a positive note due to complications I have had to come off my diet for a few days which mean I will have approx £5 as an extra to throw against my debt on Tuesday. I thought last night how stupid I was being puting aside money for my bike yet I am still in debt  I know my interest rate is below 1% for purchases but it still made no sense to me. So anything not used for cambridge will now be thrown at my debt :T

Also on that note I also emptied what I had put aside already. Thats £5.00, so have now kept that and transferred £5.00 from my £1 a day money. So I have £25 in my bank and £6 in my purse = £31 :T As I am aiming to have at least 15 nsd's I will periodically move across £5.00 after 5 days etc. I will keep you infomed though... 3 days in and 3 nsd's :T

As always I am just plodding on and getting things done :j Keep going all :D
  • So I thought I would do a mini/mid week update... Purely because I have decided something over the past few days that will effect my money/debt status. However firstly, spends or lack off :rotfl: I know I wasn't going to post but I am so happy...

    15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th ~ nsd
    20th ~ 20p tea

    = 6 days ~ 20p spent :j

So the decision I have taken is to come off my meal packs untill mid Feb. This obviously means I have no more outgoings for meals this 'month'. So I am effectively saving £120 :D As you can guess this will all be thrown at my debt. Debt today stands at £103.41 + £15.95 momiji doll (I have no idea whats going on with this as I have had no dispatch note/it arrived/debited... will email tomorrow) so a total of £119.46... so I will be debt free :j

Obviously the money Mum would then give me (Feb 28th ish) for holiday (£54) will be used to pay the service charges on the holiday (£36) and any remainder will be saved for my spends. It then means the following months budgets (above) will need to be used for savings but it means I dont have this debt to think about :T I did contemplate keeping £40 aside and purchasing my exercise bike but as I am now running I guess that can be put on the back burner for a while :D

The downside is I cant pay this off until the 28th  Reason being is I have lent mum £90 of this money and therefore I need to wait for it to be repayed. Also Mum may request a small amount to cover what I will be eating food wise for two weeks but fingers crossed i may be fine :D So I will then be debt free... Well I am now on paper :j

Now onto my savings plan both for life and the holiday :j

Keep on plodding all my diary posters/lurkers. Truely, try it you do get somewhere :T

Hi sally, I am having no CD packs so its just going to be a 1200-1500 cal diet. I should really go low carb but I will be eating whatever I fnd in the house which could prove difficult to do low carb  I am however going back onto CD in Feb so its not going to be a long break but enough to deal me my mental/physical needs as well as sort my finances :D I had gained 10lbs this past week I am allowing for another 2lb gain before I restart

I see Pap...you might find you don't put on this week Pap as your body has kind of adjusted and now you can start loosing eating 1200 cals and exercising :)

  • Good luck coming off the CD packs PAP.... I don't know anything about the diet, so forgive me for the stupid quiestion, but you won't get, like, withdrawl symptoms or anything will you?

Still plodding, and like beanie, trying not to fall over! Lol!

Sally, I hope so, I have maintained from Tuesday so its going well. I have decided to up my exercise and when I go back onto CD I will still exercise, it may mean I need protien before/after exercise so thats an option. I have decided I need to look on these last 2stone of weightloss as my change of life style stones. A VLCD is one thing, however maintainling your weight is quite another and with my pcos I will have a tendancy to put it all back on. That will not happen :T

Hi Sarah, I have been off the pack for a while now but plan to go back on them in Feb. No you dont get withdrawl phsycially from them however these past few days (4 days) I have at to think about food/eating which is mentally draining :o I must say though I dont feel the same not having them, plus my spots are reappearing so thats not good :(

Ohhh yes you are plodding, I can see that from your diary. Keep going though hun :A

Mini update... All going well so far I have only spent 20p on tea, £1.49 on two graze boxes and 55p on some lemonade today. Its funny when you dont have the cash to spend you find you need nothing :rotfl: Next weekend I will have to get some treats for the animals though which will be very, very hard not to walk out with baskets full

I have also recieved 2* £5 off vouchers for argos today. One of which doesn't expire untill the 7/3. So I may try and see if in Feb I can purchase the bike I want for Argos. It means you have to put the whole amount on your card but if I do that then come home and pay it off I wont get charged interest. Something to think about I think.... We shall see :D

Oh and anyone seen Rog around

    Keep on plodding all :j
  • Hi all, update time :j

    15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th ~ nsd
    20th ~ 20p tea
    22nd ~ £1.49 2* graze boxes
    23rd ~ 55p lemonade
    29th ~ £1.80 book bag + £2.49 ipod case

Ok the book bag and ipod case isn't really essential but there you go. The reason for the book bag is my new main bag is far too small for my book and all my shopping totes are too big. This is just the right size :D The ipod case is a bit of an extravagance but I was considering one at 7* that price so its not too bad :T

Nothing else to report really, paid £100 off my debt today that leaves £19.46. I still have the £20 contigency money, the downside is though I forgot about Mum's birthday meal :o Now I am hoping I can get it for £20, if not I will have to use my card to pay for it. Its not all lost though as I can clear it on the 15th so no interest will be charged. Bit of a pain though :p

Have a fab weekend all Laugh_Out_Loud_by_Emotikonz.gif
