Hi all, as promised an update on my situation etc etc. Its a huge one sorry guys... Its payday today and bills etc have been payed and although I am now back into quite a bit of debt I feel fine, my accounts look healthy (ish) and I am back to plodding :j

So the outcome of my £1 challenge... I did it if you overlook my whole debt/bunnys party thing :o However I did only spend £31 out of my wages last month in cash. So the breakdown was...

    15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 30th, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th ~ nsd
    20th ~ 20p tea
    22nd ~ £1.49 2* graze boxes
    23rd ~ 55p lemonade
    29th ~ £1.80 book bag + £2.49 ipod case
    31st ~ £5.85 pet supplies + £1.00 hand cream
    1st ~ £2.00 tights + £2.00 body shop + 98p tablets + £2.60 postage
    2nd ~ 32p change pig
    5th ~ £8.71 debt
    8th ~ £1.00 bubble bath

I havent included the 13th or 14th in it however but I didnt spend that much cash the weekend, and no credit may I add. Maybe £10 plus a £5 phone top up, however that £10 included £5 for taxis :D

So its now a new 'month' and time to knuckle down again :j The total of my debt is now £289.31 (<3% credit card) + £90 (0% till July) = £379.31  However I am not overly bothered as I have said before, plus my holiday is now completely payed for. I believe a few frugal months and penny watching will get me through this.... I also want to add Mum still owes me £55 for her half of the holiday so its not 'that' bad really. I am planning on tackling it in £150 chunks as this seems more logical to me. Also due to my disposable income each month this seems manageble.

So I have payed £59.31 off this month :D This leaves me £50.00 'disposable' for the month + £20.00 owed from Mum, however I have a huge challenge in mind (see below) so dont think this will be 'wasted'. My aim is to pay off at least £50 a month towards my debt, obviously now I am back on my diet my disposable income has dropped again but in reality I am perfectly fine with that. So my aim is 7 months, however the diet 'should' end in May so it will be sooner :D I also have my holiday in May, its all been payed for I just need spends. Generally I spend about £150 while there but I will be off the diet at this point, I think, so it will be a little more. I am hoping my money from stock take/s and the £55 mum owes me can be used for that. The plan is to put that money aside in my room so I cant use it. If I need more I will try and skim some off my May wages... Dont worry it will work, it always does ;)

The only other thing is I am planning to add a new outgoing on my SOA, as of next month. I want to add a 'entertainment/travel' budget. So if other meets pop up or I plan to travel somewhere I have a buffer instead of throwing in on credit :( So I will be aiming to save £20 a month, maybe £30.

So back to this month, I have effectively £70 disposable income. My 'big' challenge is to live on £5 a week (excluding Momiji doll/s) as its a perfect 4 week month for me (28 days). Which would mean I will have an extra £50 to throw at my debts. Aside from that I also want to have at least 15 nsd's in that period. It will be a hard task but as I saw this month I can do 20 so can I do a smaller amount with less to spend Shrug_by_melonhead_emotion.gif We shall see :D

So debt now... £320.00, 1 nsd down, £20 left for the month :j

Keep plodding all and remember not matter how long you are on your journey each day/step you get to know yourself more. You can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it :j

Awww thanks Buffy and Sally Blush_emoticon_by_smiekie.gif I must admit I do feel much much more better each day but last weekend I was on top of the world. I don't feel much of an inspiration though, I just keep on plodding and doing my own thing. If however I motivate others thats fab :T

Ohhh and the organised thing, yes too much sometimes, especially with money. One day I will look forward to just going with the flow but I dont think that will happen in the next 50yrs :rotfl:

So a mini update, only one day that I spent so far and that's £1.62 for postage. Not too bad as I am coming to the end of my first week. I may have some spends on Sunday as I will need some tea while at work but other than that I could come under £2 for the week :D

There may be something in the pipeline though which will mean the £50 extra I have put asside to go towards debt £20 may be used. However more of that if/when it happens but I can assure you it won't be wasted. Ok maybe it will be in some peoples eyes but to me it will be money well spent :T

So debt now... £320.00, 4 nsd down, £18.38 left for the month :j

I hope everyone has a fab weekend, and maybe I will update again midweek next week? Take care :A

    Keep plodding all :rotfl:

  • Hiya PAP, hows things with you? I echo what the others have said, I've seen a few pics of Bunny's party on FB and you look amazing! And so much happier too :)

I'm intrigued by the 'something in the pipeline' comment.... hows that going? (not that I'm nosey or anything :o )

Still plodding along here, although it is backwards at the minute, but then you know that from my ramblings on my thread :)

How are you finding your Lush/Body Shop stuff? I've never had anything from Lush but I love BS shower gels and body butters... my fav is the Shea butter at the mo.. trouble is it smells good enough to eat :o

    Take care hun

  • Afternoon all :T Sorry been a bit quiet of late (on main threads) just feel out of sorts... Anyways back to my update :D

So debt now... £315.19, 10 nsd down, £11.38 left for the month :j

The only things I have brought with my £5 weekly money is 2 magazines. It was supposed to be one, however the new one was due out quite soon and I caught the 'old' one. Hence I brought two within the same week. I am still on target for my challenge though.

Sarah, thanks :A I have read your diary, you seem to be going through it at the moment. I am glad to see you are still plodding on no matter what life throws at you thong... Thats dedication. I must post on you diary, however half the time there is little for me to add :o

Lush/body shop stuff is fab. The body butter is amazing! Because of where I work my hands are always being washed and it has left my hands all cracked and dry. I tryed other creams but most wouldn't help my skin and just dry them up even more. This however is fabby, and its lasting a long time. I have barely even used 1/10 of it. I am definately a convert, I know its expensive but its made such an improvement. As for Lush, I adore one of thier soaps and some of thier other products are good, the face clenser being the best. However because of the prices I don't think I am going to be able to keep buying it :o Its something to think about though and it does last a long time but its dedicating about £10 a month to cosmetics  Scary thought!

The pipeline thing didnt work out, I am very sad it didnt but that life eh. I am however still going to use a little extra cash this month. I know I am not supposed to as this debt comes first but I have gone over my £50 repayment per month, this month so I don't think its all bad :D

So as it stands I will have £43 left after all bills etc + £11.38 challenge money, sadly I needed extra for CD because of my running which ment it came for my 'buffer'. I am hoping this coming week/next week I can claw back a bit of money. So the plan is to get a mothers day gift with that plus a card (£15ish) and I also want to set myself a seperate challenge regarding my diet (on top of my momiji doll thing) which will no doubt cost about £10. I am however hopefull that I can at least pay off £10 (argos) before payday :j

So thats me basically :o Next month I should have £95 excess after all bills/CD. I should also recieve Some overtime which I will be putting away for holiday :D

Keep on Plodding my lil forum friends Baby_Emoticon_by_Sox_Kitten.gif

  • Thanks sally and Beanie... Sometimes there is nothing for it but to plod. I am/have been super happy these past few days. I don't really know where it has come from but having these few days off work have certainly helped :D

Anyways a mini update... Postage yesterday was £5.20  and I bought some marshmallows for Mum (£1) so I now have only £5.18 left of my £20 challenge thingie. I do have one more thing to post but I should do just fine :D

I ended up spending £25 on Mum (without a card). I know it sounds like lots but I bought her something she will love and use. I was planning on some choc's but that's a gift that many send on MD however these are different. So I need to get a card too but I hope I can use any money I have left from the challenge for that. I have also taken £10 out for my diet challenge, so we are off to town tomorrow so I will spend it in Lush, I need some more of that cleanser as I love it so much. I am now doing a 'big' challenge and I need to get through march 100%. No reward for doing that though as I want to pay off a large chunk of debt next month plus I have a 'big' purchase coming up...

So that has left me with £8 :D which I will pay off my credit card later tonight. Not quite the £10 for Argos but thats life. Next month I want to pay at least half of Argos off on payday (£50) so that would be fab. I know Argos is 0% but its soon to end and if there is anything outstanding I will get charged the whole 6months worth of interest

I need to sort my budget for next month out soon so maybe I will do that in a few days time :D

    Keep on plodding all :j
