:rotfl: At Beanie and Shoegal...
So the end of another week approaches. It would seem this year, or at least these past few weeks have shot past. I guess thats life as you get older though
Spends ~
4th ~ £5.00 friend’s gift
5th ~ £1.39 postage, £4.50 books
6th nsd
7th ~ £3.00 magnetic bookmarks, 60p postcard, 60p dog treat, £7.00 entry to museum, £1.00 chicken
8th ~ £5.00 debt
This means the 64 day challenge is 8th Jan = £28.40 remaining!
6 Week challenge ~ Week 5
* Pay at least another £100 off my debt ~ £5.00 - Total £131.36
* Keep up the spending diary All week ~ 5/6
* Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday) ~ £23.09/£5 - Total £39.91/£25 Ekk spent way too much this week but thats because I spent a day at Bath/visiting a museum. I hope it wil ballance out either way
* Exercise at least 3 times a week ~ Monday, Tuesday 4/6 Missed this by one day, due to snow. I would go out today/tommorow but due to ketosis (diet side effect) my feet freeze only after 30min out. I will try and invest in some thermal socks
* Read at least 2 books ~ One done, Two done,
* Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight ~M.T.W.T.F 5/6
Not too bad overall really. I could do better but I guess everyone can if they put thier minds to it. I plan this week to stay in and even try and find free things to do. It is become apparent that my spends are getting out of control... Again  I have also increased my debt to my credit card last night. I decided to order some choclate from Thornton's but I placed it on my credit card instead of paying from my debit card :wall: However I have amended my SOA for Janurary and on payday (this week) the money will be transferred across
Other than thats I am still plodding. I am biding on an item on ebay that ends tomorrow. The item was more of a need than a what but buying a new one will cost around £22 wheras if i bid on a second hand one I may get it cheaper. I am also cranking up the competition entrys  I seem to have lost my mojo the last few days and I need to refocus. It would appear I have a small stash of prezzies for next year but not enough yet. I am determind to be money nutral this year and maybe even not spend a penny. I did buy all the cards needed for next year but that was using birthday money and they should last at least 2+ years :j
In good news I have started a few saving posts. I know they arnt a good idea when in debt but my debts are 0% and barely 3% so I think its allowedI have my yearly sealed tin and my £1 tin for each 1lb I lose in weight. I have 33lb to go so I am hoping that will be a good start for my bike fund :T I am waiting untill April the 6th now to open a new ISA with my current bank. My ISA for this tax year is with Halifax but it only has pence in it so I am kinda just letting it ly unused. When I get one with my current providor it will be so much easier to transfer between accounts and see where I stand with my savings/planning
So thats me, forever plodding :j I will be back later midweek for a SOA post as its nearly payday :T0 -
Well done pap, you have done very well this week considering you have been on holiday! My spends were good up until today when it all went a bit Pete Tong! Hey ho another day tomorrow and a fresh start with amended budget!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Sally, I think all our budgets need amending thoughout the month. Sometimes things just doesn't go to plan. I guess it much much more harder when having a family
Ok so I guess I should put up my Soa for the coming month. As it stands I have £8 left from my 64 day challenge (brought the items from ebay I was bidding on, socks and a new bag and done some PaD's) and then my internet money is sitting in my main account that will be taken on the 14th. So here goes...
£120.00 ~ Rent
£16.00 ~ House ins
£12.79 ~ Line rental
£22.00 ~ Bus ticket
£10.00 ~ TV
£21.00 ~ Internet savings
£16.42 ~ Credit card Thornton’s
£160.00 ~ Meal packs
= £378.21
This then leaves me £121.79 for the month to include debt reapyments. I am going to try and live on £60 as I have nothing planned, just postage and phone credit. That will then leave over £60 for PaD's. I do however have 20hours of overtime due to be payed to me too which will be a lump sum to my Argos card.
So its just a case of plodding on :j

Pen ~ Huge thanks
I must admit when I challenged myself on 15/11/09 to live on £170 for two whole months I didnt think it could be done. Although with the wage I was recieving it had to be done. To get through to the end and still having enough to PaD is fab. I guess some of the things I brought were unnecessary but in the grand picture its not too bad. I am thinking of setting myself a monthly budget now and lowering it each month, hence the £60 (excluding PaD's) this month. We shall see but I want to start changing things and not buying for the sake of it
Beanie ~ Forever I will :A
Sally ~ Thanks, you are doing well yourself with the income you recieve. Fingers crossed for your OH's agency jobI weigh in weekly and buy meal packs weekly. Sometimes its only £38.?? per week sometimes £36.??. I used to work out what I would buy and then take the money out and seperate them into week envelopes but I plan now to take out £40 a week and put the odds into my bike saving fund :T I spoke to my counceller today about mainanace seeing as its on the horizon and she has agreed to weigh me monthly once I am off CD. I am sure this will inccur some costs or I could keep having shakes (and paying for them) as replacement meals. Either could work for me but I am not sure on money etc what will happen
Ummm that was lots of waffle :rotfl: Anyways good news today is I found £10 in my purse. I was sure I used it while in Bath but alas I neverAlthough it must have been part of my 64 day challenge I must have accounted for it already
Anyways I thought I wouldnt waste it and added it to the change in my purse. So I have brought two boxes of green tea (£1.58 total) as I prefer lidl's to twinings :rotfl: I have then put £4 in my bike savings (my £1/1lb challenge) and then £2 in my sealed tin. This leaves £5.30 to send a postage item and then change will prob make its way into savings tins/back into my purse.
Good day all around really, I have already PaD'ed this morning and even though it take a few days to show up in the account its all fab :j Now its just waiting until Thursday
Keep plodding all :beer:0 -
