how are we all getting on? the last I heard was we were getting the printer
I have not had a e mail or letter, I stopped my payment and have'nt heard
from index about that either0 -

I think she's having problems with her computer and she's not feeling too well at the moment.
I think it's just a case of sitting back and waiting for the letter. I would imagine there were a lot of people who went for this printer and if it has to go through their legal department it might take a while to get the letters sent out.0 -
I got told this query had been posted (again) so I'm logging on to just answer this......then I'm going back to bed. :-(
It hasn't been that long since I got the phone call so I'm not in the least concerned that the letter hasn't arrived yet. Is everyone expecting express service? Don't forget that some people are only just getting their Gamecubes now, yet Woolies agreed to honour the orders in December? It may be that they are trying to locate supplies, or are trying to sort out genuine orders from multiple orders. There could be loads of legitimate reasons why we haven't heard anything.
I can only state again that I got a phone call from the Legal Dept at Index Head Office, NOT from a customer advisor. I was given an apology for the way in which this had all played out and I was told that after signing and returning something that was to be sent out to me, they would see about arranging a swap. This was to be the case for all genuine orders. I also got a phone call from my local branch of Trading Standards who said they were just off the phone to Index and they were told the same thing.
I wouldn't imagine Index will now 'forget' they said this.
As soon as I have any new info to post, then I will post it. Although I'm not feeling great just now and my pc is on it's last legs, I will ask Edinburghlass to post a message on my behalf, as she so kindly did a little earlier in the thread. I promise if I hear anything then you all will know asap.
I would be surprised if all Index customer service advisors knew what the state of play was to be honest, they are probably still following the original script. I haven't even bothered to call them, it's a waste of my time.
You have to go further up the chain for the correct info as far as I'm concerned.
If I haven't heard anything by the end of the week, then I shall phone them. At the moment though, I'm not at all worried.
Now, could you all please go and see if you can find any price errors on scanners? I need a new one of those too.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Lol @ georgesky.......think you might be right.
dave: personally I would not return it BUT that is only MY opinion. You must do whatever you feel is right. I would imagine if you do return it, then that will be the end of the matter for you as you will have ended the contract yourself voluntarily. Of course if you keep it, it means you then run the risk of being left with it, if this doesn't get sorted out.

so aliasojo is right be patient, and i have not sent my usb stick back expensive though it is a printer and usb stick for 40 odd quid is dam cheap but thats just my opinion.Bargain BoyNo amount of money is worth more than good health0
