This sounds almost promising at first but then comes straight back down to earth!

What was your query? Anything specific or just where's me printer?

I didn't see Watchdog last week but I read that it was an anniversary special, did they cover any current issues?

This is the first email I sent.

    Hi Jeanette
I have received the wrong item today.
I ordered catalogue number 110-085 HP Photosmart 7260 printer.
    I received a usb 64mb databar.
Could you please arrange to send the printer as soon as possible please.
I ordered this item because my printer is not working properly and I really do need it urgently.
I look forward to your reply
    Yours sincerely

To which they replied.Thank you for choosing to shop at https://www.index.co.uk.

Unfortunately due to high demand, the printer is now out of stock. At present we do not have an expected delivery date for further supplies. However, you can try to re-order the goods in 2-3 weeks when there could possibly be more stock available.
We have arranged collection for 14.01.05. To receive your refund please contact us with the returns receipt once the goods are collected.
Please be advised the correct product/catalogue number for the printer is 110-185 not 110-085.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused.

We look forward to seeing you online soon!

    To which I replied.
    Hi Jeanette
    Thankyou for your reply.
I'm sorry the printer is not available on line at present but fortunately I
have managed to reserve one instore could you please email authorisation for
me to exchange the databar for the printer at the advertised price of £19.99
as this is the price that was accepted when I placed my order. I have been
informed that a contract was formed when my order was accepted and payment taken.

    Yours sincerely

And then received the last one the same as yours

    :)

    Thanks whoop ;)

Thought someone missed out earlier in the thread and was going to send them mine but it's got my name plastered all over it :o
  • Well I gave in and they collected my usb this morning...nice chap said that thiswas keeping him in a job...that's good I suppose. As for the return of monies I'm told I have to ring them with the receipt number for a refund to be authorised...if only I could get through...just wasting more time and money...again. may try and email...anyone done that with their receipt number? >:(

if you paid via credit card, ask to your credit card company to do a chargeback...it costs index money and they may temporary lose visa status....hehe!
