    I returned my usb things and got a full refund, but I refuse to believe that it's over as far as I am concerned.
    I don't see how I can have ended the contract since I only returned something which was sent by their mistake. The funds should be taken from my account when they dispatch the correct items as per our contract, and I take the fact that they dispatched something - albeit the wrong something - as their acceptance that a contract is in place.
    So far I have had the original "a letter is on it's way" email, then I emailed a couple of days ago to ask what is going on and got told that they are awaiting info from another (the Legal?) department before responding.
    But not holding my breath though! :(

    As for the emoticons....click on 'User CP' which is written on the beige bar just up above the thread.

    On the left hand side there should be an 'Edit Options' menu. Click on this and scroll down to the bottom of the next page you get.

    There is a section called 'Miscellaneous Options', in here select Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG.

    Received, one letter from Index!

    I am writing regarding your recent order for an HP Photosmart 7260 printer from Index.co.uk. As you may be aware, an error on our website led to this item being incorrectly priced at £19.99 & listed under catalogue number 110-085. This number & price actually refers to a Freecom Memory Key. We are sorry about this mistake.

    When errors of this kind occur, our terms & conditions allow us to cancel customer`s orders, & also provide that customer`s order`s will not result in a contract with us until the goods that the customer wished us to supply have been dispatched. Obviously, the goods you wanted were not dispatched to you.

    Because we recognise that our mistake will have disappointed you, we now wish to offer you the opportunity to exchange the goods that you have received for a printer at no additional cost to you. However, because we have only a limited stock of HP Photosmart 7260, & are unable to source additional quantities, we will allocate these printers om a first come, first served basis. Once stocks of this item are exhausted, we will supply a suitable alternative instead. Therefore, if you wish to accept this exchange, please complete the form at the bottom of this letter & return the letter to un in the S.A.E provided. We have provide an additional copy for you to retain.

    We apoloigise for this mistake & regret the disappointment it may have caused you. Unfortunately, human error does occasionally arise, & we hope that this problem will not prevent you from shopping with us in the future.

    Still haven't changed their terms and conditions though and it clearly states in the E-Commerce 2002 Regulations that they should be able to save them or to print them.........

    You never know they might slip up again...........;)

    So,how do you buy this printer then once you receive your letter??
    The code number doesn't exist on their website anymore.Can you still reserve it via the telephone? Anyone tried? :(
