I wonder what a suitable alternative would be? Maybe a John Bull printing set ( I'm showing my age now )

Well for all the Doubting Thomas types that were out there.............TOLD YOU!

I had a strong feeling about this one right from the start. Glad it's come good. I think polite persistance often pays more dividends than ranting and raving does. Regardless of the points Index are making about contract and lack of liability etc, when it comes down to it, I think we all had a very strong case with which to take further and Index probably knew this as well.

Having said that........I haven't had a letter yet!

No doubt by the time I get mine, there will be no printers left, lol.

That would be a bit ironic considering the amount of letter writing/ phoning/ emailing I did with regard to this matter. I would be a bit upset and I would have to start complaining all over again.

Big pat on the back to everyone who took the time to write or complain in other ways. I think the very fact that so many of us sang from the same 'complaint songsheet' helped us no end.

Legal Dept told me Index will get back in touch to arange a swap.

I'm assuming they will just deliver the printer and pick the usb thing up at the same time perhaps?

The letter does say '.........we wish to offer you the opportunity to exchange the goods that you have received.......

Yipeeee! Letter has arrived, I've taken the second class stamp of the return envelope (provided) and put on a first, not that I'm worried or anything!

just received my letter also i am a bit curious to what i am letting myself in for as i have said they have refunded me for one usb, in the letter it uses printers rather than printer as if i am going to get the 2 i ordered but how can i exchange the goods if they already have them back i have phoned them up to ask this but she said sign the letter and add my own letter explaining this , i have also left a message withe the ts fella who has been helping me (he is so nice) surely they must know i have returned them shouldn't they.....
