Go my rabid monkeys, kill, kill, ........ we know Index are in the wrong so they must suffer!!
Contct Trading Standards, contact Watchdog and block the Index telephone lines.... we must have war of attrition!A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.
A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent,
the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law.0 -

Your "A Team" suggestion was better0 -
ooh, this is fun
I missed out on the gamecube offer at tesco, and felt left out when it was mentioned on Watchdog last time.
Off to send them an email before bed.0 -
If I remember rightly from the Toysrus Xbox bundle situation, Index might be contravening (sp?) the ASA's (Advertising Standards Aurthority) advertising guidlines.
They stated that when a company advertise an offer that they have to give customers a fair chance to receive said offer and if the products arent available then the company should offer an alternative, of equal or greater spec, at the same price.
These are only guidlines, so I don't think compamies have to abide by them and I'm sure I havent got the wording exactly right but its all good ammo. right?
Index have contravened the Distance Selling Regulation, Trade Descriptions Act, Sale of Goods Act. They are also in breach of ASA guidelines (though this isnt law, they could get bad publicity).
Has anyone been charged....if you have good luck and dont back down...you are entitled to the printer or equivelant!
If they state they are out of stock, then advise them you will buy it elsewhere and they can foot the bill (this will cost them alot more as theyll have to pay market sale rate, not heavily discounted wholesale rate!!)...BUT get approval in writing (NOT an email!) from them first though.Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

Had they forgotten that the same item with the same code is in the catalogue? ::)
This would be fine if they hadn't formed a contract, but they have.
They have already agreed to sell a printer for £19.99 by their email confirmation and the fact they took payment.
No use bleating about mistakes now.Herman - MP for all!0
